In my experience it’s rarely “I don’t want an exclusive relationship” and more often “I don’t want an exclusive relationship with you.” But that’s what you’re doing at first. I look at dating as two people having fun together with the Santa Grinch Tennessee Titans Christmas 2023 Shirt and by the same token and possibility of intimacy arising from respect and trust built over time. It woks be exhausting to only date someone I wanted to marry. I have talked to my kids (30s) about this. It seems a ton of guys tend to look for “The One.” Huge generalization, I know. But we discussed how it would explain the anger at being turned down and not wanting to be “only” friends. Between seeing a girl and then actually asking them out, there is such a build-up of expectations. Idk. I’m just glad I’ve been married all this time and haven’t had to date. It is SO different than it was in the late 70a and 80s. So much is better, but so much is not.

I get that some people only think of dating as a lead up to marriage, but that’s both sad and problematic. Typically those are the Santa Grinch Tennessee Titans Christmas 2023 Shirt and by the same token and sort who think men and women can’t be friends. It also means they’ll miss out on a lot of fun meeting new people and experiencing new things. One of my love languages is fun so I couldn’t be with someone I didn’t have fun doing things with. I’ve been like this since my 20’s and it hasn’t seemed to have steered me wrong yet. I also seem to have had a lot more luck “with the ladies” since I want to genuinely just enjoy getting to know them without all that pressure. Funny how sexy a lot of women find a guy who they can feel relaxed around and who actually listens to them.
