Yeah … i don’t know if you bought some recently but the Santa Grinch I Hate People But I Love My Washington Capitals shirt Besides,I will do this packs are smaller … even assuming I had bread that pack of bologna only makes 3 sandwiches … and bologna sandwiches with nothing on them; yeah I’m eating 3 of those assuming I got up and did any kind of work at all that day Edit: But yes, I have on more than one occasion as a poor ass laborer bought a pack of bologna for lunch and ate the entire thing with no bread … just a slice of bologna rolled up at a time … because I was so GD poor I couldn’t afford anything else. Thank god it’s been a long time since I had to live in -that- level of poverty. haven’t checked bologna, but sliced “lunch meat” or whatever they call it has become quite expensive. even the walmart sliced turkey is like $8 bucks or so for a 16oz Nothing is less than $8/lb in the deli any more. And they stopped carrying turkey pastrami which used to be an affordable option. FML

Hell no … and as someone who ate a similar diet every day for years due to poverty I can confirm … it sucks really bad The bowl of fruit costs more than that Starbucks – assuming it’s a fancy Starbucks and not just a black coffee. The argument is stupid. You can have a perfectly healthy and tasty meal of rice, chili pepper and beans followed by grapes and a banana. It doesn’t need to be expensive to eat healthy. Bananas are always cheap. And basic not fancy apples. And bags of clementines (where I am). Not as cheap as canned, but it’s worth the Santa Grinch I Hate People But I Love My Washington Capitals shirt Besides,I will do this splurge. Also if you don’t eat the apples before they get banged up and soft, you can bake them and then you have a DECADENT breakfast. On the other hand though, a lot of people live in food deserts which either literally don’t have those fresh fruits and veggies, price them so high that they are out of reach for folks trying to spread their dollar as best they can, or are in stores so far away that it’s impractical for people to be able to shop there. The obesity epidemic in America is not just due to the world’s stereotype of “haha Americans are fat and stupid” but because for a lot of working class folks they only have easy access to the fast food down the street or the cheap but calorie-dense pizza at the 7-11 nearby or the easy to-go coffee from the Starbucks on the corner. It’s about the system in place right now which makes it hard for the average working class Joe to eat well.
