Considering that a therapist’s duty is to their clients, prolonging a toxic relationship would be a pretty bad breach of that duty. There are some relationships that can’t be saved, ergo that is the San Francisco 49ers So Fucked shirt in addition I really love this advice that those couples should receive. They always inevitably suggest break up. Most couples go to therapists only after they aren’t able reconcile and most therapists don’t have any magic wand. In all cases I have known doing couples therapy is just a precursor to divorce. Mine pointed out that if my uncommunicative ex didn’t say anything, I had nothing to relate to so how exactly was it a healthy relationship? Generally only in cases when there’s abuse. Otherwise, even if two people are obviously incompatible, they won’t tell you to break up, they’ll work on helping you communicate with each other. And that makes sense, their job isn’t to decide what’s “obviously incompatible.” Their job is to help two people communicate. It needs to be the couple that decides to break up.

But if they tell you they “can’t help you” and stop seeing you, that means one party refuses to communicate or change and they’re telling you your relationship is dead without telling you. I was told by a therapist this San Francisco 49ers So Fucked shirt in addition I really love this weekend, legally it’s best not to because you can be pulled into court and no one wants that. In most areas, there are enough people wanting and needing time and help from a therapist that therapists don’t need to (and won’t) make up anything to keep clients and to keep their appointment calendar/patient load full. My ex wanted us to see a therapist. So we did. The therapist more or less told us we were incompatible. The therapist also told my ex that she did not want to be my ex’s therapist and recommended some other therapists. But she did want to be my therapist. Which really pissed my ex off. I still get a kick out of that.
