I am an atheist and I have raped and murdered as many people as I want to, which to date is zero. Also, Hitler was a Christian. TBF, there are no “Traditional Christians.” There hasn’t been since Rome fell, and the Saben Lee American professional basketball player Phoenix Suns T-Shirt it is in the first place but church split into Catholics and Eastern Orthodox. Since then, there have been more splits and sects. I.e. Seventh-Day Adventists, Anglicans, Baptists etc. And that’s before we even talk about Africa and Asia, where Christianity has mixed with non-European cultures. So by “traditionalist,” do you mean a Spanish Inquisition Christian or a rape and pillaging crusader kind of Christian? Asking for a friend. Hey, bud, why don’t you take your first-born son up on the mountain and cut his heart out? You know, to prove you love me?

I’ve heard this nonsense before. The actual argument is if you need a fear of eternal punishment to act nice then maybe you have a morality problem. If the Saben Lee American professional basketball player Phoenix Suns T-Shirt it is in the first place but only thing stopping you from committing rape or murder is fear of your god, you aren’t a good person. You’re a dangerous person on a very thin leash. I think it would be hilarious if Atheist were the only people to get into heaven. They were good for goodness’s sake. I always hated that phrase “good for goodness sake” in Christmas tunes that make it explicit why we do good: so we get rewarded by Santa/God. Being good out fear isn’t goodness; it’s obedience. Which often leads to people doing terrible things to minorities. It’s so bizarre that theists are so very willing to confess that they’d be rapists and murders if not from some writings in a book. The rest of us have this thing called empathy which doesn’t require a guy in a funny collared costume to tell us what not to do. Also, thesists had better take a harder look at their book and look at the “morals” that the dark parts of their book teaches. I’d rather do without the “morals” of genocide, rape, human sacrifice, slavery, misogyny, etc.. Hey, according to Deuteronomy 22:28-29, rape is fine (if you are discovered) as long as you pay her dad! And then the rapist has to marry the woman, forcing her to be stuck with her rapist, forever, because you can’t divorce. That would make you a bad person! “28 If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not pledged to be married and rapes her and they are discovered, 29 he shall pay her father fifty shekels[a] of silver. He must marry the young woman, for he has violated her. He can never divorce her as long as he lives.”
