So you can sell books with the colour magenta, it’s alright, but if you started providing wireless carrier services with magenta as your main colour, then T Mobile has a case against you as it can be interpreted that you are trying to deceive people into thinking you are T Mobile even if you are not T Mobile isn’t the only one who has trademarked a colour. Many companies do. Coca Cola’s red is trademarked. It is fine if you sell chocolates with that red, no one will confuse that with being Coca Cola, but if you sell a black soda in a transparent plastic bottle with a cap of that exact shade of red, anyone is gonna think that is Coke yk and buy it thinking they are buying Coke, even though you are not Coca Cola. That’s the logic here, that people associate the colour with this particular brand of product so much that if you use the same colour for selling the same product, you are kinda banking on people buying your product based off of the assumption they are buying the real thing
