If my Daughters Mother and I ever break up and I get a new Girlfriend I will NEVER put anyone before my Daughter, truth be told I wouldn’t even put my Daughters Mother before my Daughter, and I made it clear I expect her to NOT put me before our Daughter either. Not allowing me reap the Rocky Balboa fictional character and the titular protagonist T-Shirt in addition I really love this consequences of my actions. Preemptively correcting my mistakes/covering for me. I will not do this with my child. We learn by failing! I was born a week before Christmas, on the 18th. The day my birthday falls on is the day Christmas will be on the following week. I’ve always been forced to share my birthday with either my grandmother, who’s birthday is two days before mine, or with my youngest brother who was born in January. Or we just don’t do anything due to it being so close to the holidays. I didn’t even have a 16th birthday party at all, when my older brother got a limo rented for him to pick him and all his friends up from school. I can understand if my family couldn’t afford to really give me a party due to it being a week before Christmas, but I have have had to watch my three brothers all be given the attention they rightly deserve when their birthdays each come up.

I can’t imagine doing that to my kids one day as I feel it will make them resent me as I have my parents and grandparents I will not have kids, that’s what I’ll make sure won’t happen again. I made that decision at around age 10-11 when my brother was throwing a whopper of a tantrum in public. The kind where he was getting dragged out kicking and screaming out of a mall because he got told no for something – I remember thinking “I’m related to that, no way I want to deal with this one day” It would be to not raise them in organised religion and to let them safely explore different things that pique their interest Interestingly my teenager told me that he gets that I intend to do everything exactly the Rocky Balboa fictional character and the titular protagonist T-Shirt in addition I really love this opposite way vs how my parents did it, but I’m also allowed to do things my way (as opposed to always reacting to how my parents were)
