This. I have been saying this for YEARS. It was sheer hubris of her to think she would live through the Robert svilpa custom guitars shirt Apart from…,I will love this last administration. And now we’re fucked. because she didn’t retire. There was always a chance that Trump could win (and, surprise! he did). Rather than risk it, she should have retired. Unbelievable that some would sooner expect RBG to have a crystal ball with which to predict the future, than to hold Mitch Mcconnell, the GOP, the former guy and the justices who lied their way onto the Court responsible. As much as I respect RBG, she knew she was dying she should have retired. Much of what is happening with the Supreme Court right now could have been avoided had she done that. As always, it is a woman’s fault for a man’s actions. Mitch refused to allow Obama to confirm his SC pick, yet rushed Trump’s pick in there. This is NOT Ginsburg’s fault. Not surprised a man is trying to blame the results of patriarchy/misogyny on women/one woman. I would be shocked if it didn’t happen at this point. Lots of comments are suggesting age limits but that’s not going to solve any of the problems with the current SCOTUS. For one, 65 isn’t too old to be a judge. Two, you’d still have the same issues only there would be a rush of retirements and nominations before every election among the justices that are 60-64. And term limits would only make the Court more political than it already is. I don’t want to tarnish her reputation, I admired her a lot. But she knew the threats we were facing, she knew how sick she was… but then again, she also knew the Republicans would do anything in their power to stop a liberal from replacing her.

I love in America that you are all gaslit to go “well democrats….” cause of news articles like this and then people STILL pearl clutch over democrats doing anything that isn’t lock step to the Robert svilpa custom guitars shirt Apart from…,I will love this republican base – its literally the same news stories over and over I’d loose my fucking mind if I lived there alot of things contributed to this. john oliver had a good piece on what happened here. combination. i would blame this on mostly the dems didnt fight harder to keep it. i was sad when someone asked obama about this in his early presidency and he was like its not a big priority for him now and never was. the whole party is to blame. I’m pro choice but seeing the left shit on her is fucking delicious. Harry Reid was a hero until .. oops it worked against the left. Antonin Scalia died in Obama’s last year in office and the Senate refused to confirm Merrick Garland to replace him. The Supreme Court was on the ballot in 2016, if you voted for Jill Stein or were Bernie or Bust that year, you elected Trump in office and the Supreme Court justices he picked.
