At many bars if you tell them you’re the Robbie Robertson 1943 2023 Gíbert Hanekroot Redferns Playing Guitar T-Shirt Besides,I will do this designated driver you will get free soft drinks and some times food. Depends on the bar tho I once just ordered an orange juice from the bar, and the bartender looked at me confused. I said I’m the designated driver, he nodded and hooked me up with free juice all night. The issue is that with some events (musical, comedic, theatric)… ticket prices are kept low, with the expectation that everyone will buy some booze, like a two drink minimum for example. So in those instances, venues have been known to eject patrons who have gone half the gig and just had water or soft drink. If you drank nothing but water and don’t eat and stayed at the bar for a couple of hours I would personally drop $5 When i served drinks at a bar to a group and someone ordered water or a soda i would not charge them for it because many times that was the designated driver. You don’t have to drink alcohol. You should tip a few bucks though if you’re taking up a seat for a long time especially if the bar is busy. I don’t drink either. However, I drink Diet Coke. You should tip well. Also, it’s not always the bar tab, but the time you spend at the bar. My bar tab will be $15 bucks but I’ll give $5 or more as a tip. I’ve been doing this for decades.

The trick I’ve used to cover the Robbie Robertson 1943 2023 Gíbert Hanekroot Redferns Playing Guitar T-Shirt Besides,I will do this drink minimum as jazz clubs is Pellegrino with a lime/lemon cuz it still looks like a cocktail and also places love to charge $7 for sparkling water for some reason An excellent tip would be a dollar a glass, but that might be a bit much. A five at the end of the night is probably good enough, ten if you have a couple plates of food. No one cares what you’re drinking and the bartender doesn’t care at all as long as you tip. They’re all mostly lying to each other on the high and low side depending on their goals for the night anyway. I am a bartender and have worked in restaurants for the better part of 25+ years. If someone was to do this in my area, I would happily serve you. It is a breathe of fresh air sometimes knowing that you don’t have to worry about someone being over served and being belligerent at any point. Also much easier to carry on a conversation and BS with someone who isn’t getting drunk. It’s much more personal and sincere. This is also coming from a bartender who doesn’t drink alcohol myself. So I appreciate people who can enjoy a night out without alcohol.
