I think many people eat take aways none stop sadly. We cook every single meal from scratch but have to as we are long term keto. I work as an nhs dietician with overweight and diabetics and many of them never cook. Not even once a week. All these ready meals and takeaways that seem healthy are still carb laden so just sugar in you bloodstream once eaten. Many people arent aware of this either. They always tell me they are too tired to cook after work etc and i get that, but better to make an effort now than die early. I eat frozen premade meals, meal replacement shakes, meal replacement bars, fruits, veggies, and processed snacks. We don’t make our own pasta, we buy it. But sometimes we make spaghetti sauce from scratch. Or, do we? I use canned tomatoes. We might make some chicken in the Rizz ‘Em With The ‘Tism Cat Wear Glass Taylor shirt also I will do this oven, but we’re eating frozen vegetables, not fresh and cooked “from scratch”.

My gramma might have made pancakes from scratch, meaning the Rizz ‘Em With The ‘Tism Cat Wear Glass Taylor shirt also I will do this flour and water and whatever… I use a “just add water” mix. Not from scratch at all. Things we eat that imho don’t count as “cooked from scratch”: pasta with jarred pesto or other jarred sauce; boiled potatoes and a Brathering (a German canned fish thing); instant mash and frozen fish fingers; quiche – I buy the crust and make the filling; sandwiches; frozen pizza, ramen with added bits of whatever I find in the fridge; baked beans and fried eggs; a variety of take out food. We don’t got out to eat that often because it’s too expensive. What I try to do when I find the time is cook large amounts and freeze them, like goulash, lasagna, meatballs, curry… but even then: I never make my own lasagna sheets, I always use tinned tomatoes because I just can’t be bothered with skinning and dicing and whatnot. I lived with two guys who could only cook spaghetti. The rest is what I’d call “box food”. They took up a LOT of freezer room…
