What I’m saying, Bob, is that if you do not provide the Rip Sir Michael Gambon Dumbledore 1940-2023 Shirt so you should to go to store and get this correct amount of sustenance… ie: Money and bennies…. Then there is no way for me to grow into the role. So I am afraid I must decline until correct care is given towards that role.” So they cut a director, didn’t have a manager in place and now want you to just assume those roles at a nondirector, nonmember salary? That’s not how that works. I agree get everything in writing with deliverables and a deadline. Because you could end up working 3 jobs for the price of 1 and nothing to show for it on your resume. Immediate no! Please do not allow yourself to be exploited. They have the money no doubt but want to see if you will take the bait.

They won’t pay you more or bump your title for at least a year, if they ever do. Get the resume updated. Take the non-Raise promotion, do the work, update your resume, and just leave. A company that doesn’t want to pay you just doesn’t respect you. Don’t take it personally, its just business.
