Now hold on, Rep Thomas Massie (R)_from Tennessee was just yelling about how teachers need to be armed and there’s never been a school shooting where the Return of the Living Dead more brains shirt moreover I will buy this teachers were carrying. He was wrong? Who knew? Pfft… If the teachers were given kevlar and AR-15’s, they totally would have gone toe to toe with that shooter. Wait hold on I thought I saw a video of a GOP congressman saying that no school shootings have ever occurred in schools where teachers were allowed to carry? Have they tried putting all the children in straight jackets? Can’t shoot your classmates if you have arms behind your back. Question is what is the policy for teachers to carry? Is it for them to utilize in last ditch effort to protect and drop assailant if/when they break into a classroom? I doubt the school district will cover liability for a teacher who leaves a classroom unprotected and charges after a perpetrator. The irony is that while 2A is being given full shrift, its purpose was primarily for personal self defense. There is no constitutional or legal obligation to risk one’s life for another in this capacity, so the good guy with a gun problem is still begging the question. So two things here 1 teachers are required to lock down and shelter in place with their class so any armed teachers were in a locked classroom waiting for the shooter to attempt entry like they are supposed to and 2 advertise that there armed teachers as a different school in that area was sparred because it advertised it’s security So there were good guys with guns present and 6 people still died. Can we all agree lack in national gun control is the main issue?

Weird. A Christian school, so God was allowed, and the Return of the Living Dead more brains shirt moreover I will buy this staff was armed and still there was an effective shooter. Last year a good guy with a glock dropped a mall shooter with an ar15 before he could light up a food court. Media ignores it, gets completely forgotten about. Then the possibility of one staff member having a gun gets reported on and people immediately say “see doesn’t work.” we’ve really sailed into the absurd here. both sides are arguing vehemently for after-the-fact solutions (prohibition of guns vs armed security) and demonizing the other. neither of which addresses the rot in our culture. both sides should unite and start a class movement to end the corporate dystopia that is producing enraged zealots at an increasing rate. we are circling the drain here, and yes we have a problem with gun violence but our violence problem also goes well beyond guns. we lead the world in many forms of violence including assault, rape, violence against women, minorities and probably soon violence against trans people. and also legal stage violence – war, police violence, violence to prisoners
