Personally the Retro stylr mom thanks for not swallowing me shirt in other words I will buy this final third was weak for me. There just wasn’t a good enough payoff for what occured 2 hours earlier. All that just for the “final boss” to be another bombing scene. Was hoping for something more creative from the Riddler. Also batman’s inner monologue was a little bit too much The Coon for me. This movie was a solid 4 most of the way then plummeted half a star with that fucking Joker scene. Can we just not for 5 god damn minutes with the Joker for the love of god. The joker, again? Why? WHY?!!!!! There are so many other villains in Gotham! For real, why not mr freeze, two face, clayface (these are way less “grounded” but still) Such a fantastic movie. So well written. This movie was completely different from the Nolan movies. This movie was more surrealistic, but still felt more real. Pattinson gave one hell of a performance. Probably my new favorite Batman. I think the movie’s biggest strength is the characters. Every character was interesting and compelling. Other than Pattinson, Kravitz was the standout. honestly, way more uneven than i thought it would be. loved the first 2/3 of the movie, thought it really dropped the ball in the third act. Is this the first superhero movie where the villain actually (partially) won? The destruction of Gotham and all those lives lost, I was so shocked.

It’s not even the Retro stylr mom thanks for not swallowing me shirt in other words I will buy this first Batman movie where the villain wins. The Dark Knight, Infinity War, Watchmen, Unbreakable, and Captain America: Civil War do this. I loved it. Taking tonal cues from Se7en was a masterstroke. As a huge Batman fan I absolutely loved the movie. This is the type of Batman movie I was waiting for. Robert Pattinson and Zoë Kravitz are now my personal favorite Live Action Batman and Catwoman. They’re the most accurate portrayal of modern Batman and Catwoman so far and they have amazing chemistry together. I loved the music and I also liked that Gordon had a lot of screen time. I did not expect the people in my theatre to clap at the end but they did so hopefully that means this movie will have good legs. Feels like it’s been a while since a movie met and exceeded my expectations. This blew them away. Never thought a Batman movie would approach my love for The Dark Knight yet here we are. Loved it and the three hours felt like a breeze. The Batman was a surprisingly slow-witted movie. Doesn’t take away from how painstakingly gorgeous it looked Cause like it lying and stealing
