I rewatched No Way Home tonight as my wife hadn’t seen it yet and we’re seeing Dr Strange 2 on Saturday, and the post credit clip which is basically just a mini trailer for this movie has a scene where Wanda thinks Strange is coming for her because of what she did in Westview and he says he isn’t. I’m willing to bet that’s the extent of reference to Wandavision. I am sure this movie is going to be good in an over the top kind of way. No Way Home taught Marvel that lots of cameos and surprises will create a huge buzz, but you gotta have a good plot to sustain multiple views from the audience. If multiverse plot movies appeal to you, you really should see “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once.” It is shockingly good.

I generally like the Retro style sade shirt besides I will buy this theme of multiverses because they provide a lot of plot flexibility but I do think sometimes it turns into laziness. When you can’t make things work logically just use the multiverse to fix it. When you want to kill off key characters without real consequence, use the multiverse. When you want to edgelord the audience on a counterintuitive outcome, bring it back to a traditional happy ending with the multiverse. I think it can make for lazy storytelling if misused. “Everything, Everywhere, All at Once” does none of the things you mention here. Another reason why it was a great movie. Everything, Everywhere, All at Once is a multiverse film but not made by a big soulless corporation. Definitely recommend it. I actually have rewatched that movie and it definitely deserved a warmer reception. The weakest parts are the very beginning and the ending but everything in between is enjoyable and visually spectacular.
