Pretty much. If you talk to a neighbor who is deep into their propaganda machine, you’ll quickly realize they don’t live in the Retro Parramatta Eels PREMIERS 1982 T-Shirt and I will buy this same universe as you. They think the world is the most dangerous place and everyone is suspicious. It’s like “dude, that’s just a guy walking his dog” .. “my guy, that’s a kid on a scooter” .. “those are just a bunch of religious nutjobs trying to tell you about their lord and tax savior.” I like the world I live in better. It’s fun, people are cool, I take photos, road trips and enjoy meeting strangers. As a huge introvert with very little faith in humanity living in a gun heavy state, I can tell you that my first fucking instinct will never be to open fire on another human being. I have a doorbell cam. Somebody seems aggressive outside I could easily talk to them through the camera or see if they’re carrying a weapon themselves. Oh, maybe I’m actually scared for my life at some point during the encounter? I can call the cops and barricade myself in my basement, or sneak out the backdoor. Anybody who shoots anybody standing on their front porch is looking to shoot somebody. Literally just go on nextdoor. It’s just a bunch of people being suspicious of every single little thing in their neighborhood.

Ironically, the Retro Parramatta Eels PREMIERS 1982 T-Shirt and I will buy this world is a more dangerous place because of all the guns and suspicion. They’re the people I’m afraid of. I just finished reading The Chaos Machine. It, or something similar, should be taught in schools. The recklessness of social media companies bending their knee to right-wing hatemongering in the name of profit is sickening. The hope is that someone’s front porch isn’t covered by “castle doctrine” if you’re inside your home. Sounds like homicide to this humble gun nut. That was my thought as well. Did the homeowner fire through the door, or did the kid actually enter the home? Cause that’s very important to the story. I would absolutely shoot someone if I was scared that someone broke into my house…..but you would find me barricaded in my bedroom, huddled in a corner screaming I had a gun and to leave. Someone would have to hunt me down to get the lead. I was considering buying a gun and listened to a bunch of YouTube videos about the pros and cons about having a gun. This one lawyer said if you shoot someone even if justified be prepared to be arrested and be sued by the victim if they live or by the victim’s family if they die. He also said your going to pay a fortune in lawyers fees. He said even if someone invades your house try to get your family out the back door if possible and call the police because if you get in a firefight you may lose. So go ahead and buy a gun but just realize you can only use it if in fear of your life or another life and if there is some other way of getting out of a confrontation then do it.
