I don’t think I could actually pull the Retro Groovy Preschool Squad Gnome Teacher Student Christmas T-Shirt But I will love this trigger on such an exhibit, but it would be interesting to see what it revealed about humanity. Im danish, I remember when this took place. On the danish news it only took up like one minute. Surprised that it even qualifies for this subreddit, seems pretty boring to me. I can appreciate that only one weirdo used the installation in Denmark during it’s run in 2000. However, the piece has also travelled other museums in foreign countries; in Austria in 2006 while on exhibition, all the fish got kidnapped by unknown bullies, who managed to kill one of them in a blender before taking off with the rest of them. And in Chile in 2002 activists tried to break in and free the fish. So I guess it did spawn some serious reactions, and that might qualify as art. I dunno. To me it’s too simple and sort of crappy any way around x)

On the Retro Groovy Preschool Squad Gnome Teacher Student Christmas T-Shirt But I will love this danish news it only took up like one minute. Surprised that it even qualifies for this subreddit, seems pretty boring to me. I’m actually surprised only one incident? How long did the exhibit run and how many people viewed it? Did they record how often the buttons were pushed after the blenders were disabled? (Yes I read the article, it did not answer those questions tho it appears the exhibit continued after detaching the blenders from visitor input). Because my guess would be somewhere around 10% of visitors would indeed punch the buttons. In my ethics class we had this exhibition as a thought experiment. I was the first student tonsay to the teacher that I would have taken the fish out of the blenders and try to save them. What actually would have been great is if the on button was like one of the joke gumpacks where it shocks the hell out of you.
