My dad paid for his degree, rent, car, and living expenses in the Retired millwright not my problem anymore star shirt What’s more,I will buy this 60s. As a part-time janitor at a hospital. He worked hard and got it done. I’ve talked to him about it, and he just doesn’t get that just working hard was not an opportunity I had. I did nothing but work and school, lived with my parents for 6 years, and now have 80k in student loans. Government jobs of any kind are the way to go even today. They have very little healthcare cost on all the private sector suckers paying for it with taxes. Then thay have good pensions after only 20 years you can get your pension. Your grandparents chose their jobs wisely. I want to work for whatever government you’re working for. I work for a state government, pay plenty for health care coverage, and don’t have a pension. Your idea of government jobs also sounds like it comes from 1970. The state I am in still gives pensions and great healthcare at low cost. I know several people working for them and retired. The state tried to stop pensions and give less healthcare to new hires and the courts overturned it and wouldn’t allow it. My one friend stopped doing what she went to college for and got a county job for the healthcare and pension for retirement while in her 40s. Her healthcare costs pennies compared to private sector and she can pay a couple hundred as a Medicare supplement plan. She will have full pension as well. This is in the 2020s bot 1970s. I think most those who complain have no clue what it is like in the public sector with their catastrophic healthcare that the company and employee pay thousands for that pays for nothing till you pay out $6000 plus per person and a 501k with no matching.

My parents bought their first home (a new mobile home) in 1973. It can with a 1/2 acre of land, a porch and deck built onto it and fully furnished…..$28,000! Crazy My dad built our house as a simple farmer getting part of the Retired millwright not my problem anymore star shirt What’s more,I will buy this proceeds from the small family farm. He affords our house working 3 jobs and owning 9 low income rentals. It was originally 3 bedrooms 1.5 bathroom. Now it’s 4 bedroom 3 bathroom because he extended it when family grew. He would never have been able to afford extending it or even building it today But remember 50 years ago there was no cell phone cost, groceries were purchased to make cheap from scratch meals, gas was cheaper, there were no $8 lattes, no Instacart charges, movie theaters were cheap or you went to a drive in, no streaming charges tv was free, going camping was cheap and considered a vacation, kids did the yard work, most houses didn’t have central air we toughed it out during the summer. Expenses were very low, now with credit interest and all this technology everyone wants, life itself is much more expensive. Can’t possibly have anything to do with the fact that the planetary economy and all of society is on fire. Naah. Surely not. That’s crazy talk.
