Because the Retired Dispatcher Thin Gold Line Flag Goodbye Tension Hello Pension T-Shirt but in fact I love this world as it is now is too hostile for any new life. People become more radicalized, the world is basically about to burn and the society we live in has never been so cruel. I just find the thought of setting a child in this world just to watch him suffer through and knowing he’ll one day die anyways very unfulfilling. So why bother? I know it’s a very nihilistic thought but I can’t help myself thinking of this matter any other way. As for how I’ll spend my time. Idk really. I guess I’ll try to be one of the people who try to fix the earth. I’ll spend time with my loved ones for as long as they live. Never had them, never wanted them, and I’m 54 now with no regrets. I worked hard, played hard and retired early. When I am old and need care, I will go to assisted living and try to have buddies until I die. Seems good enough to me. My motto for this is “the bloodline ends with me”. I’m already f—ed up as it is and just the idea of having another person go through the same cycle doesn’t sit well with me. Also not in this economy lmao. I’ll just invest on my own happiness and a good retirement home

Son, police officer, 30: “we don’t want them”. Daughter, studying psychology, 26: “I’m too selfish. I like my own company so I don’t want them.” Daughter, tattoo artist, 23: “ewwwwww!” Son, cat lover, 19: “I’m autistic and I can barely tolerate me. Sod having kids too!” Entirely up to them. One couple loves their bikes and backpacking. One is studying and wants to go see the Retired Dispatcher Thin Gold Line Flag Goodbye Tension Hello Pension T-Shirt but in fact I love this world. One couple doesn’t want to. One is autistic/bipolar/ADHD and doesn’t want to pass it on. And quite frankly…I’d probably be a terrible grandparent because I don’t like kids until I can actually have a conversation with them. For some, they’d be almost adults at that point. 1, I just don’t generally like kids. I have OCD and would absolutely go insane at the messes and the noise and the lack of sleep. I also am a germaphobe and would not want to care for sick children or have them constantly bringing germs into the house from daycare or school.
