The corporation which, on the Regulation Before Expectation Rainbow Autism Awareness Special Education T-Shirt in contrast I will get this very post you’re commenting in, said ‘u/kn0thing has resigned from our board to fill his seat with a Black candidate, a request we will honor’, choosing someone on their board of directors based on their skin colour (which isn’t white)? This was addressed, they were forced by reddit admin. So I get the hate to spez tbh, but didn’t he literally just write a post recognizing the inconsistency with examples? It was long but.. didn’t you at least read it first before writing this? I’m black, and that community was fucking great. About as wholesome and welcoming as you can get.I’m black, and that community was fucking great. About as wholesome and welcoming as you can get. For real! The n-word in the title didn’t mean “black people”, it just meant “people”. It was a kind and lighthearted subreddit in the core. I’m just upset it was outright BANNED instead of gaining the ability to change the name of the subreddit. A letter by the Reddit moderation to the mods of the sub like “hey, we’re toning down on racism, you have to change the sub name. We’ll do it in the backend, just gives us a name” would have been great. Now, r/hydrohomies is subject of ban evasion which may get them banned in the future when a new policy update gets passed.

I’m just waiting until they come for r/PoliticalCompassMemes, which is an absolutely great sub but sometimes we use the Regulation Before Expectation Rainbow Autism Awareness Special Education T-Shirt in contrast I will get this n-word for laughing on stereotypes And you failed to ban the ones promoting actual violence against minorities. Repeatedly. And while you’ve provided flimsy reasoning in the past, it really looks like you just wanted to keep them around for the traffic, ad revenue and downright suspicious mass-gold purchases that they were driving to the site. Regardless of whether that really is your motive or there’s something else going on behind the scenes, you have to understand that from the outside you look either completely tone-deaf or just downright mercenary. You’re joking right? You think that proves you’re fighting the good fight? Because what, you took down the obviously bad for your brand subreddit? What about the dozens that popped up in it’s place that you ignore? What about the vile racism spread by users every day? Other than announcing the same overly verbose jargon twice a year you’ve done nothing but provide safe warm breeding grounds for hate. It’s honestly disgusting that you even make these “announcements” and then don’t respond to any hard-hitting comments or if you do, you write long complex diatribes that ultimately could be summarized by “I’m too afraid to do anything because I profit off of extremism.”
