Traveled overseas years ago got asked questions like that and some other rippers like do you have mobile phones, bananas, are there kangaroos in the Refugees Are Welcome Women Can Lead Science Is Real Rights Gay T-Shirt also I will do this shopping centers etc genuinely hilarious I had relatives visit from England last year and they were terrified about the spiders. They said it’s common “knowledge” in the UK that you have to check for spiders under the toilet seat every time you use it, and genuinely thought that’s what they’d have to do here. To be fair, some are pretty sure it’s exaggerated. But even those genuinely believe we regularly take counter measures in order not to die by snake bite or spider bite or sharks or whatever. It’s the most common discussion I have about Australia now I live elsewhere. I always say I’m far more afraid of bears and moose and rednecks with guns than I ever was of snakes and spiders and dropbears

I’ve lived in multiple houses across Melbourne from Croydon to Altona – I can’t remember ever going a full 12 months without seeing a hunstman somewhere around the Refugees Are Welcome Women Can Lead Science Is Real Rights Gay T-Shirt also I will do this house. Maybe when I was living in Collingwood five metres from Smith st, but it there’s any vegetation, there’s a huntsman somewhere. Grew up in the country with plenty dugutes and tiger snakes around the town, rule of thumb is don’t fuck with them and they don’t fuck with you…. Also don’t step where you can’t see the ground, Ie in long grass and such I haven’t seen a huntsman in ages. Plenty of those black house spiders though. I call them all Steeve. So many Steeves around right now. I should probably call a guy to come spray. Interactions with dangerous animals can mostly be avoided in Australia eg. don’t stick your hand in spidery places, don’t swim in areas with crocs etc. Big ass brown bears can just be hanging in the forest near a walking trail and now you’re prey, fuck that very much.
