I agree with the Real Women Love Football Smart Women Love The Steelers Diamond Heart 2023 shirt and I love this setiment but at the same time I cannot help but feel this is just the way of corporate america right now My hubs works for a place that won’t give raises out of the normal yearly rotation unless you produce a competing offer letter. When someone asks about a raise they tell them to go get an offer. They’ve lost two people this way, no change to the policy. That’s a big risk they are taking. Once an employee looks around, see what’s out there, go through the motions of getting an offer, confirm they are employable somewhere else; how do the current employer close that door? That’s so shortsighted. I hope your husband is doing well and being valued. I’m baffled by it as well. I work in an opposite situation with managers that go to bat for us regularly. He’s new to his industry, so likely will move on later this year.

Wow. No raise = pay cut due to inflation. They either are doing this intentionally for attrition or are too dumb to realize this is the Real Women Love Football Smart Women Love The Steelers Diamond Heart 2023 shirt and I love this policy. I also did it once, the second time they didn’t even try to keep me, but then a year later paid me more to move and help an office in a location they knew I wanted to be in. Then, in that office, I left for a third and hopefully final time that they again didn’t even attempt to counter on because the raise was flat out stupid. Mind you that was all over a 15 year period. I retrospectively regret it. I was chasing my tail to get paid what I was worth in a toxic environment but I didn’t realise that until I left. The benefit is knowing when you have a good job after experiencing a bad one. My new boss at work is toxic too and is making things less than pleasant at the moment. I have had worse. Were you miserable prior to accepting the counteroffer? That’s the thing for me is that I’m by no means miserable at my current job, just feeling like something new may be interesting and the pay is reasonably higher for a lower stress role.
