I tried to recruit SAP developers for my work in Australia and tried interviewing a number of Vietnamese dev. I was really hoping to be able to work with more colleagues from the Real Chicago Bears Fans Wear Pink Logo Cancer Awareness Shirt In addition,I will do this same country, but unfortunately the majorities that I interviewed didn’t even seem to understand my questions about non-technical, basic job expectations, even though most of them have very impressive resumes with names like Bosch, SAP, etc. As a lover of Vietnam from SG, I agree. There’s so much potential but, for VN to get above, the english literacy and use has to become more windspoken; either that or chinese Sadly true. The level of English and communication skills is not on par with Indian IT staff. I ran some freelance gigs with sw devs from Hanoi. I needed to explain customer requirements many times and lots of simple business terminologies like KPI or EBITDA were unknown. But Code was clean functional and done on good practice I think young people’s English are actually not bad. I mean they take like English classes for several years in grade school and college. But they are often shy to practice it and lack fluent speakers to practice with.

Of course not, just like I wouldn’t hire a mediocre Australian dev either. I’m not asking for someone with perfect English but I’d need them to understand what I’m asking them to do. It a mixed bag really, some of the Real Chicago Bears Fans Wear Pink Logo Cancer Awareness Shirt In addition,I will do this expats i worked with compliment the Vietnamese staffs on their English, even saying the English fluency of their Vietnamese staffs were better than those in the Philippines of India, but other were not too impressed. I do find that Vietnamese working in technical fields and rolls such as engineers or technicians received more complaints about their English than those in business or finance though. Just curious, what is the pay like if you do hire someone from Vietnam to do remote work in Australia. And does this happen often or like a rare occurrence? So play COD with a headset and engage in trash talk. Watch YouTube at least 3 hours per day. Eat Doritos. Drink Mountain Dew. Etc. This results in much better American style English and you’ll pick up some AVE as well.
