So people who felt persecuted to “dress a certain way” against their will are now trying to impose their will to make other people “dress a certain way”. The irony is thick, but it’s lost on their imbecilic myopic nature. It’s getting to the Race Car 6th Birthday This Little Race Car Driver Is 6 Flag T-Shirt But I will love this point where we have a subset of citizens who are no longer acting in the spirit of what this country was founded on….true freedom. They want mono theism again and extremely tight rules of law again. That’s literally all the same things our founding fathers ran away from when founding this country. We fought a revolutionary war over it to earn that freedom. Now in the 2020s the subset of hyper conservative right want to go back to the old ways from hundreds of years ago. I don’t think the legislators that passed these really cared if it was constitutional, because they can now tell their voters they passed it, and that it’s not their fault it got struck down.

I’m hoping the Race Car 6th Birthday This Little Race Car Driver Is 6 Flag T-Shirt But I will love this TNAG appeals this so that it can get a nationwide ruling at the Supreme Court that these sorts of laws everywhere are unconstitutional. Watching Wayne’s World 1992 – “Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he’d put on a dress and play a girl bunny?” So called ‘content-based’ restrictions are almost always unconstitutional. We shall see what the reactionary theocratic SCOTUS says. The Supreme Court tends to be thinking very long term and conservative justices tend towards literal originalist interpretations. What Tennessee is trying to do violates explicitly protected speech and assembly protections, as well as equal protection. Plus if the content can be banned based on something other than the very, very few, narrow accepted bans, the Supreme Court will realize how that will lead to blue states banning racists, bigots, the very religious, etc., in public venues and using the precedent they might set with allowing a ban on drag. Politicians are infamous for passing ‘get me votes’ laws that appeal to their base but are otherwise unenforceable. In this case, they can now rail against the ‘liberal’ judge, who, like all Trump appointees, does not fail to disappoint. I guess the GQP didn’t have enough time to appoint enough judges to force this upon people. Oh well, perhaps make sure they don’t do that ever again would be nice. Man they are really going to really hard on trans and drag shows during this next election and it’s going to get really ugly
