Oh good point, I forgot about that one. I always remember Kony 2012 being the Queens Of The Stone Age Graphic shirt and by the same token and first time i noticed the effects of tribal group-think that was unfolding, particularly seeing so it in my own feed and so many of my friends joining in on the choir and just going with along with it. It felt pretty strange to observe at the time, it was then that I realized how dangerously powerful social media would be over the coming years. I just watched a video of the 80yrs cycle theory, where history repeats itself. And the start of the “Crisis cycle” was 2008 til 2028. the day when Instagram started launching this algorithm, i was so mad and confused like the chronological order was so much better. why Instagram why? I still hold a grudge. I don’t see 90% of the people I follows posts cause I guess instagram thinks I won’t like it?

Queens Of The Stone Age Graphic shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Mine’s good and relevant. Half of the Queens Of The Stone Age Graphic shirt and by the same token and posts are from people I regularly interact with and the other half from events I’m interested in, local businesses or random old friends that rarely post. There’s also a few memes that suit my offbeat humor sprinkled in. It does help that I follow no public figure or thirst traps, only people I’ve met before and liked enough to want to share socials I had a similar feeling when Facebook made the same move a few years earlier. I used to see what my friends posted and I enjoyed seeing how everyone was doing. Now in 2023 I get to see what maybe 10 friends (out of hundreds) post and the rest is all ads and pages I don’t follow but they paid Facebook to appear in my feed. Needless to say I rarely use the platform anymore.
