I’m not sure you’re actually getting a good idea of what the Put it back the way you found it American Flag Trump Slap Anti Biden T-Shirt and by the same token and cost of living is actually like here. Also that you just named some of the highest paid and most competitive careers available to the workforce. 99% of Americans are not in a single sector listed in your post, and the salaries you’re looking at are likely inflated. Because for whatever reason, companies get away with exaggerating their pay or straight up lie about it regularly. I’m not sure you understand how income percentiles are surveyed or calculated, or how the income percentile statistics of the US grossly outperform almost every other country in the world, including Euro-power houses like Germany. Productivity is way higher. And I am saying this as a European. We tend to spend 2 months in the summer and one in the winter on vacations while most of them work as vacations are not guaranteed. It is not uncommon to have a 2nd job and spend more time working. Maternity leave for 15 minths between 2 parents? Nope? Paid sickness leave? Nope. things add up. So at the end, productivity is higher. As GDP. Yes it is. Only about 5% of the US workforce has multiple jobs of any hours. In Germany, about 4.6% of the workforce has a second job. In France, that number is about 4.4%. In Denmark it’s 8%, Sweden it’s 6%, Lithuania is 5.8%, Portugal is 5%, and the Euro area as a whole average is 4%.

I wonder how many Americans would want to live & work under the Put it back the way you found it American Flag Trump Slap Anti Biden T-Shirt and by the same token and American system after a 2 + year stint in Europe. I think quality professionals might be attracted to minimal healthcare costs or free at the point of contact comprehensive healthcare for every citizen / resident. A Standard 40 hour work week with 4 weeks minimum paid vacation days. Contracted workers’ rights with overtime & penalty rates for evenings, nights & weekends. Subsidised child care. Government subsidised high quality University education, free in some countries with access based on grade / merit. Professionals are still rewarded for going the extra mile and have a much higher disposable income than an average worker but with more freedom & security to enjoy it USA has a weird boner for ranking peoples worth and right to a decent life by how long they went to school, and not always how vital their job is to a functioning society. so people who have those jobs get paid more than in european countries, and the rest of us tend to (from what i know) get paid less than our european counterparts. bc USA culture states that they are worthy of luxury and us filthy plebs should just take up a second job (slight exaggeration for comedic effect lol)
