If you’re the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this same person at 49 that you were at 14, that could be an issue. If there aren’t issues to work on. Then it may just be a matter of being around enough other single people to meet someone. Maybe it’s cliche cause it works? Ever think of that? If dude is the same person at 49 he was at 14 then that’s an issue. I was trying to give other constructive advice too. Often, you have to look inward and see what needs to be fixed or changed to improve your situation, in anything, not just relationships. No one’s gonna date you just because. You have to bring something to the table. If your bringing less or the same as everyone else, why would anyone pick you or take a chance on you? For me it’s freedom, knowing I am freeing myself from my ego and all those selfish material things. I found love for the first time, every thing is even more beautiful. Exactly this. It’s really not hard to find a loving relationship unless you’re really going out of your way for a flawless, perfectly compatible partner.

Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt

From my experience, the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this problem seems to be that most boys and girls want their partner to be the most beautiful, impressive person ever and a pillar of infinite support. Then these relationships eventually sizzle out because they realize their partners are autonomous human beings that won’t always give them what they want. The only relationships I’ve seen last are the ones where people are willing to admit their relationship is worth being unhappy every now and then. 90% of the people I’ve seen who are bitter over being single are usually insecure and depressed because they realize it’s hard to find someone that immediately wants to put them on a pedestal for the rest of their life. So yeah, I believe anyone who is actually looking for a relationship will find it. Key word there is “actually”.
Nope. Trust me: If you’re a peaceful, healthy person who actively tries to meet new people every week, you will eventually find someone who is attracted to you at least within the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this next year. Many boys do the same thing girls do, where their complaint is “no one will love me!” but the reality is they really mean “no one I am attracted to will love me exactly how i want to be loved”. Meeting new people every week sounds horrible to me as an extreme introvert , but I know not meeting enough people is my main problem haha. Need to meet them so you can figure out compatibility and go from there but when there is no desire/desperation to meet random people, despite feeling lonely every now and then, it’s an odd problem to solve. Why should they mean anything else? You should have a partner you’re attracted to and they should be able to fulfill the subset of emotional needs that only a partner can. Obviously that doesn’t mean all their emotional needs – you need to be able to meet many of your own. But you by definition can’t fill your own need for companionship. And however that manifests…you should have a partner that comes at least pretty close to meeting those exact needs. Let’s say 90% rather than “exactly”.

You should have a partner you’re attracted to and they should be able to fill the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this subset of needs only a partner can. In my experience, there really is no subset of emotional needs that only a partner can fill. I say this because we are completely responsible for our own emotional needs. We are responsible for our own happiness, our own contentment, our own sense of wellbeing and fulfillment. Our emotions are one of the only things in this life that we have full control over, if we are disciplined enough to exercise that control. So while we cannot necessarily provide ourselves with companionship, we can control the emotions that arise from a lack of companionship/from feeling we receive the “wrong” type of companionship/etc.
And while there are benefits that a partner can offer – validation, support, basic human connection – these same benefits can all be gained from close friends, family, religious/cultural communities, etc. The outward appearance of those benefits may vary based on the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this type of connection, but at the end of the day, our brains are simple little machines. Meaningful human companionship is meaningful human companionship. We are the ones deciding how much weight to give each of those connections. We are the ones deciding whether or not they meet our needs. It’s going to happen because people drop their expectations more and more as times go on and desperation increases. You learn to accept stuff and be more tolerant, you learn to look where otherwise you wouldn’t be looking : the less pretty ,the less successful, the less glamorous people. Ultimately you get humbled and realised that you don’t need that much to enjoy the company of someone else
This may be how you feel but not all. I have healthy boundaries. I have no expectations (self imposed as all they are all in the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this mind) I am happy and content with my life. Healthy boundaries are super important. Nothing is worth sacrificing your sanity, integrity or self esteem over. But cutting down on insane expectations is not such a bad thing. I am sick and tired of videos of girls ( I am also a girl, so I’m not coming from a I hate women place) talking about the bare minimum and then pointing towards insanely and unachievable requirements. I think people should give each other more grace to mess up and be human. Of course this does not apply to toxic or abusive situations. But if you find someone you like to spend time with and can be there for you, don’t complicate things. Don’t ask for endless proofs of adoration and don’t tax somebody every little mistake. This is my wisdom as someone who has found her life companion.
You will increase your odds dramatically by working on it every day. Love is never going to just happen to you. It requires effort to keep meeting new people and pursuing the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this friendships, including aromantic ones, until you find a good match only reason youre hopeless is because youre telling yourself you are. Its a self-fulfilling prophecy at that point. Plenty of people in worse situations have found love just fine, why is it somehow impossible for you? It’s not a lie, nor is it completely random. It is possible that you will never find love, but it’s HIGHLY unlikely. Most people do find love sooner or later, the important thing is what you do about it. I’m sure you will find love if you want it and seek it. If you get desperate and start thinking ‘oh, it will never happen to me’, then your chances start going lower simply because you don’t believe you are worthy of love, so other people will think so, too. I’ve been there, and for me starting to really love myself and trust that others can love me for who I am was a game changer. I’m currently in the 10th year of my first long-term relationship, and it’s increasingly getting better over time.
“Finding love” takes an immense amount of work past a certain age for most people. For me and lots of others, I simply hardly ever meet new women. I gotta put in a good amount of work to meet any new people at all. Lots of work to build any of these chance meetups to even start dating, much less build a fulfilling relationship. And that’s why “finding love” and lots of other euphemisms are such terrible phrases. A great relationship takes work to find and then lots of work to build. There are no soulmates or mystery people waiting in the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this wings to fulfill you completely. No one is going to magically understand what you’re all about after sharing a meal and no one is going to spend the rest of their lives with you because you’re a bit quirky but have neglected to work on yourself for even a minute. If you get desperate and start thinking ‘oh, it will never happen to me’, then your chances start going lower simply because you don’t believe you are worthy of love, so other people will think so, too.
This hasn’t been my experience at all. When my best friend started college, she truly believed she would never find love. Then she got asked out her first semester of college, and now she’s still happily partnered to that same person 14 years later. On the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this other hand, when I started college, I truly believed that I would find a partner. Now I’m 32 and have never been in a relationship, and most people don’t want to date someone my age with no experience. “You just have to believe in yourself and then you’ll find love” is a form of the just-world fallacy. Some people do believe in themselves and still don’t find a partner, and some people don’t believe in themselves and do find a partner. It’s a crapshoot. But of course happily partnered people like to believe that their relationship is because they did everything right, instead of because they got lucky.
I can’t comment on your story because I don’t know you. But as far as I am concerned, I didn’t know that I was having that self-esteem issue until things changed and I realized how different it felt to truly believe I was worthy of love. I thought I believed it before, but that was just me not wanting to accept the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this reality. I was thinking ‘Of course I love myself. How could I not love myself?’, but that was simply not the case. Btw I am still working on self-love, it’s an ongoing journey for me. I’m just saying there are a lot of layers to it, and it’s not as simple as luck. Sure you might find someone and a positive attitude might help but not everyone will find their true love. So its a lie
My point was that the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this people who say it cannot know if it’s true or not, so therefore the person who says it, lies. To a degree, lying or making wild claims is seen as polite in some cultures. And yet, I find the whole “love” thing to be kind of toxic. Like, plenty of people go to work, come home, go to work, come home, and never even attempt to find new people. They’re almost certainly never going to find anyone living like that. It’s bad for them to pretend love is given to us by the cosmos and not earned through concerted effort. Asocial people are simply way less likely to find love. It’s a sad fact and it kind of burns me up when I hear anyone say that to someone who’s serially cooped up. To me, it’s a comforting lie told for the speaker’s benefit, not the listeners.
What’s comforting for me is when people just acknowledge the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this reality that luck plays a major role and that it’s partly out of your control, and that some people want a partner and don’t find one. And that it’s okay to be sad about that, but that you can also have a good life even while living with the grief of not getting what you wanted most in life. It’s not comforting to me to be told I’ll find a partner, when we both know there is no guarantee of that whatsoever. Bad example since that is in my power to change. This is something out of their hands. Maybe something like “you will win with lottery one day”. There’s no way they can change the outcome of that nor can they say it for certain.
People have a lot more control about what they can do about themselves to possibly have a better love life, not the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this love life itself. You can become the best version of yourself but if nobody finds you attractive you have no control. You have more control over winning the lottery. What? I don’t have control over your love life. You do understand that i’m talking from the 3rd party perspective, right? “I will watch a movie this evening” could be a lie if you simply decide to watch a movie or not. You can’t compare those two. That is such a negative way of thinking. I’d sooner say that they themselves didn’t expect to find love or knew people who never expected it, but found it anyway. So they expect it to happen to others too.
I find most people who say they struggle to find any sort of relationship have two things in common. One, they have super high expectations. Two, they usually put little to no real effort into actually forming relationships. Three. They have awful luck. I’ve been on so many dates and was on dating apps consistently reworking my profile a lot. In real life I got rejected by almost every woman I knew as they only saw me as a friend. Online, most matches would ghost me after a while. I never got past 1st dates most of the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this time. She said she really liked me but she met a guy around the same time as she matched with me and she felt like he could be the serious and real thing. She liked me but she couldn’t do a relationship because her cousin committed suicide not long before and she wasn’t in the mental headspace for it. But somehow through all that my crappy luck still lead me to meet my current amazing girlfriend of almost 8 months now. You’re wasting your effort. “Trying to be what those women might like” is an attitude all but the most shallow of women can see through. Don’t try to be what they like, but be yourself and wait for the woman that likes you just the way you are. She’s somewhere out there, try not to scare her away. Lol. Such a weird stereotype that women can “see through” an act. They can’t anymore than men, but most people suck at acting.
And to be frank, a single awkward answer from the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this guy can sour a first date for the girl. This is likely to happen if you’re not being genuine. you’ve missed the point. Would you prefer a partner who loves you, or one who loves the person you pretend to be? This. I was reading the OG comment and thought, has this person spent any time on themselves or just been spamming dates? They are in a relationship now but that question can still hold true to make that relationship the best it can be. Yes. I stepped out of my comfort zone multiple times to find things to make me happy while improving myself. I did Rec sports to meet people and get active. I took up rock climbing for a period of time. I did dance classes! (I was not a dancer!) I worked on my physical fitness. What in the world makes you think I was being a fake person for other women to get them to like me? I was replying to the comment above. Unless you were talking about reworking my profile part. No that was more getting better pictures of myself and being better with communicating my interests and personality. I know for a fact that I’ve made more effort to date than my best friend has. She never made any effort to date; all she did was exist in public and get asked out, and now she’s engaged and I’ve never been in a relationship. Funny how people will constantly tell you “Don’t settle!” but then shame you for having high expectations, but then if you have low expectations they tell you that you have low self-esteem.
You should have low expectations when it comes to looks, money, and status. You should have high expectations about how they treat you. Two different sets of expectations. And here’s the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this guy saying everyone with dating issues must be lazy and have high expectations. I think people that think that are just too stupid and shortsighted to realize there’s many reasons that aren’t just “lol lazy” And this is why people are also so depressed. There are definitely people with issues who can’t get dates but certain people, like the person you replied to say it’s all on you. I started taking my physical health more seriously. I stepped out of my comfort zone by doing Rec sports league, took up rock climbing, taking dance classes!! Seriously I was not a dancer and that was terrifying!!
I worked on myself and still was getting shot down. So then I took to dating apps. But apparently according to the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this poster you replied to “dating apps are low effort” 🙄🙄 Of course noone can be 100 % certain you will find love. But the context this is usually discussed in is when people say “I’m probably destined to be alone forever”. This is definitely not true, everyone has the theoretical chance to find someone compatible with them, and everyone has loveable traits even if they’re not the best version of themselves. So it’s an oversimplification, but saying “you’ll (probably) find someone” is definitely more honest that saying “you’ll never find someone”. The only thing that 100 % precludes you from ever being in a relationship is if you decide you don’t want to be When I tell these same people to improve their lives, lifestyle, become more valuable or interesting, pick up hobbies and go to events where they just MIGHT meet someone, they shrug it off every time. There is a third option that is accurate in many cases: they are fucked in the currently environment and can’t do much about it. Sometimes it helps to acknowledge the bitter truth. I do believe though, that someone who continues to put themselves out there and tries their best, will eventually find someone.
If I keep throwing a die with 100 sides, it will eventually land on the Purdue Boilermakers mens basketball 130 seasons 1896 2026 thank you for the memories signature Shirt In addition,I will do this 100. If I would throw it a 1000 times, the 100 will probably come up 10 times. That’s just how randomness works. Nope. Each time you roll there’s a 1/100 chance of getting 100 regardless of previous rolls. It is very likely you will get a 100 at some point but not guaranteed. If someone makes an effort to meet and interact with others, just statistically, they’re going to find someone. It would be almost impossible not to. The problem is that there are a lot of young people on Reddit who look at the odds, can’t see that, and decide not to throw the dice at all. They roll a low number twice and declare the game is rigged and go home, when all they actually have to do is keep rolling.
