It is probably just them that know of the scams It’s 100% looked down upon. And most of the society hates them. In fact many Indians have been a victim as well. Just because most spam callers are Indians doesn’t mean most Indians are spam callers. I had a fun time wasting 3 hours of an American IRS scammer’s time. Saw a news report about the “warnings” they were mailing to trick unsuspecting people. Let him think I believed I owed $40K for property taxes on land I didn’t own, in a state I’ve never been to. Gave him a fake name and other personal details, and lo and behold he was able to confirm the debt! He thought he had me so roped in that he gave me his direct phone number so he’d be the only “special agent” I’d work with. On Day 3, when he was going to withdraw payment for his services from my bank and just needed the account info to get it started, I told him “wait, a message just popped up on the website. It says tell [name] he’s a [long list of expletives]” while making fun of him for wasting so much time for nothing. He tried to talk over me saying some vile stuff, but I just kept going until he hung up. Then I called him back at random time for days with different numbers, sometimes really late at night because he always answered. I kept this up for about 3-4 days before I got a message that the number was no longer in service.

I don’t know if the Proud Mimi Of A 2024 Graduate Not Crying Graduation T-Shirt but I will buy this shirt and I will love this FTC tip I gave is what got it turned off, but I’m hoping he got fed up with getting woken up late at night and told his scammer bosses what was happening. That’s awesome. If you don’t know about him already, look up the YouTube kitboga. He does the same stuff but on a professional level – using banks help to shut down scammer accounts, using ai to give the scammers endless security questions, and all kinds of ways to keep the scammers on the phone as long as possible and and a hilariously entertaining way to watch I love watching Kitboga’s shorter videos. The one about the endless Bitcoin customer service maze is my favorite. Lol I’m Canadian and it’s so pervasive here that I won’t entertain any call with an Indian accent. This is 1st contact outgoing calls (Like a telecom calling you for a deal), not you calling the back of your bank card or the CS line on a legit company website and getting an Indian call centre.
