I grew up poor in a rich beach town. I worked at a deli in high school back in the Premium logan Stankoven Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Dallas Stars T-Shirt but in fact I love this 90’s, and my senior year I only needed to attend half days because of advanced classes in middle school. I would take orders in 1st and 2nd block. I even had teachers seek me out to put in orders. I’d leave school, clock into work, make the order, and go back to school in time to deliver lunch. Then back to work. I was like a drug dealer slinging subs to everyone. It was VERY lucrative for a high schooler. no shit, they’re kids. i know you want to take a jab but literally every school canteen in the country has kids spending their parents money. we just snuck out the wood shop entrance and walked to the near by pizza place for 1 dollar super slice of pizza then walked back. some times the shop teacher asked us to bring them some. Yep, plus if I worked as a driver for Uber Eats or an equivalent company there’s no way I’d want to deliver a food order to a school with potentially thousands of students on campus. Sounds like a nightmare.

And if I was a student I wouldn’t risk spending an exorbitant amount of money on a food order to a school. There’s probably a 0.2% chance it’d actually get to me, much less while hot. Yeah, a couple months back there was this brat whining that his school wouldn’t let him get door dash delivered, especially every day In a way, I suppose I can kind of understand because school lunches are not remotely able to accommodate allergy and dietary needs, eating disorders, neurodivergency and whatnot. But then the Premium logan Stankoven Canadian professional ice hockey forward for the Dallas Stars T-Shirt but in fact I love this expectation is to make and bring a lunch from home. I don’t doubt for a second that some parents don’t want to do that, sadly, or the kid’s spoiled so now homecooked food is subpar to them. Yeah, they typically aren’t allowed in the building so they are left on a table outside. So literally anyone could just grab a bag and go. College campuses would be just as bad. If you don’t go to the school, its pretty difficult to find someone at some random hall/office, since ( at least at the school’s I’ve been to) not every building is accessible by car. This is not even a little bit true. I delivered for years. Regular schools were a freaking pain, going through the office, signing in, waiting for the staffer to have enough time to come to the office…
