I’ve been arrested twice for protesting, one time was put in holding in NYC in my own cell and another was held in general pop in Atlanta. Neither time was I strip searched but I also didn’t have a warrant out for me and have to turn myself in. after being booked you will be dressed out. fully naked, with various checks to make sure you aren’t smuggling anything in then a mandatory shower and your new outfit. some booking deputies will see this play out ten times or more a shift and really really aren’t looking at your anorexia beyond looking for contraband. they’ve seen it all. The prison I used to work at would strip search when you came in, but I’m not sure how often they did it otherwise. There is no way to avoid it, and you will have to undress completely.

It’s clear from your post and comments you’re very anxious about this. I’m sorry to say, likelier than not, it’ll happen no matter what you do. From this point forward, I’d recommend just learning anxiety coping exercises. It’s terrible this is the Premium keith Hernandez New York M Game Signature T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this way it is, but it is. You’ll get through it. It won’t last long, and you’ll be shaken up, but it’ll be okay. A small blip in the grand scheme of it all. If anything they are likely as self conscious about having to inspect a naked stranger as you are about being searched. There really isn’t any way around the fact they are going to have you searched to make sure you aren’t smuggling anything in. I don’t know how much difference there is between a guy and a woman getting searched but it is really very clinical they aren’t checking you out or judging you. Unfortunately, there is no way around it, whether you were arrested or surrendered, this procedure is standard prior to putting you in a cell, they need to search for contraband such as narcotics, weapons etc and document birthmarks and tattoos to determine if you are gang affiliated.
