Elden Ring released as a giant full game, 100% complete, with hundreds of hours of content. No DLC was planned or being made. Then a YEAR later they announced they were making DLC. It’ll probably come out next year, two years after the Premium johnny hallyday signature shirt Also,I will get this game’s release, and it will be a legit expansion. Witcher 3 was a complete game before they basically made a Witcher 3.5 in the face of Blood & Wine. It cost $20 and it was bigger than most $60 games. It came out a full year after the main game and it was clearly an expansion and not something withheld from the base game to be sold at a later date. The DLC was 100% planned before Eldenring released just far from ready to release. Being planned before doesn’t mean pulled out of the main game tho and is nothing negative. I also like From Softwares DLC philosophie. It’s just that they definitly think about DLCs beforehand but they built them upon a full game that doesn’t leave much being missed.

It got announced a full year after the Premium johnny hallyday signature shirt Also,I will get this release of the game. I don’t see how it was planned years ago. They may have had ideas but they didn’t release the game with a day one announcement and a season pass for a DLC. “Full game” has never meant, nor will ever mean, “the game and everything that developer ever creates or releases for it”. Content has always been planned in advance and been kept back from launch, in various ways, be it expansions, additional maps, or new cosmetic content. The developer decides what the “full game” is, and you decide whether what’s included in that warrants the price. It’s that simple. But you can’t keep demanding that anything they ever release after lunch “should have” somehow been part of the original cost and been included in the launch game, or be offered for free. That’s unreasonable. That’s not how it works, or has ever worked, really. Uh Street Fighter is a bad example. It’s either we get this, or we go back to the SNES days, where we get 4 different versions in 5 years.
