I never delete or archive emails. On the Premium dogs Make Me Happy Human Make My Head Hurt shirt and I love this extremely rare occasion I’ll move an email to different folder I created. 99.9% of the time, it all stays in my inbox If I don’t see that little @ beside the subject line in my inbox, it usually gets filtered unless someone specifically brings it to my attention. My union rep stole my moment. I was having some back pay issues that were taking over a month to resolve so I finally filed a formal grievance over it, my lines leader tried to lie in an email chain that also went to corporate trying to imply the reason it hasn’t been done yet was because I hadn’t been sending him my stubs so he could see what had to be corrected. Id also been forwarding all my communications to the union rep before I filled the grievance though, so they got the uno reverse card moment, before I had logged on to see his bs. Was great to read after the fact tho. “just bringing to the top of your queue” or “in case you missed it” and my favorite, “please note the timestamp shows I responded approximately 6 minutes after receipt, and you’re asking me 3 weeks later”

I’m in IT, so I sometimes get to do the Premium dogs Make Me Happy Human Make My Head Hurt shirt and I love this double whammy of not just forwarding my original email, but also providing the mail trace information so I can prove it was delivered to their email server. ooh, I absolutely love when they are wrong, but maliciously CC’d in management in an attempt to stake you in the heart. They often remove management in their reply- and I put them back with a “Soandso seems to have somehow fallen off the chain, CC to keep them in the loop.” This is why you never accuse somebody of not sending an email, you simply say, “I appear to have misplaced your previous email. Will you please forward it to me so we can get this back on track?” This puts the onus on them to either provide the email or admit they never sent it, and you look good for having faith in them and for admitting your mistakes.
