The range next door was sometimes populated by the USPS police. They would share stories, compare weapons (I definitely wasn’t allowed to shoot their weapons at the range, no sirree! And if any Feds are reading this, it was 30+ years ago) and whoo boy did they have some cool shit. My dad told me on the way home, sometimes you see a mail truck with a Crown Vic (cop car at the time) trailing behind… the truck is carrying post office money, and the car behind is armed to the teeth. It’s almost comical the amount of weaponry available to the postal police…. they do not fuck around.

If the USPS is bringing charges on you, you’re likely open-and-closed fucked. My job is to go after any criminal who puts the evidence of their crime in an envelope, leaves a saliva sample on the envelope, writes their name and address on the envelope, then brings the envelope right to us.
