I received a screen protector for my phone yesterday and considered posting a pic of the Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt moreover I will buy this large box and packaging on here. I honestly don’t know how these people make a profit after paying their packaging bills. OP is upset that there is wasted packaging but made the choice to use the cheaper option instead of going to the store, because one option was more convenient and cheaper than the other. Amazon has envelopes for shipping small items like that, I have to order stuff online because I’m in a remote location Fair point, and yes the amount of packaging is wasteful I agree, but I think when we elect to use the services there will always be trade offs and a large company being wasteful comes with the territory with Amazon.

Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt

funny, in here amazon has started skipping boxes and just doing soft paper envelopes — even for bigger products (for smaller ones they have been using cardboard envelopes for a long time). also, last thing I remember ordering from a different (non-chinese) store, came in a box of period pads. I guess they reused it. it was funny. Shipping cost more than the Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt moreover I will buy this battery, either for the delivery service or the customer. That’s /mildly infuriating I deliver a bunch of packages and Amazon is easily the worst offender for this. You order some delicate electronics and they’ll put it in a soft envelope, but you order some tiny trinket and it comes in a huge box. There’s no rhyme or reason and it seems totally random. The worst company to buy from is Temu though. You order 5 things and they wrap it up in a giant ball with the worst quality packaging I’ve ever seen. It’s already ripped in multiple places before I even get my hands on it.

Has to be in a box for the Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt moreover I will buy this exterior battery label. I don’t think they’re allowed to put those on mailers, but I could be wrong. Chances are, the person packing the battery didn’t have a padded envelope, you you either wait an extra week for the replenishment of padded envelopes to arrive, or you get the battery on time in a box. Nah, probably packer was just trolling. Or error in system showing wrong box. Amazon does not simply run out of packaging materials. Since Amazon uses a variety of delivery partners, they need to make sure packaging meets all their various requirements. USPS requires that any shipment containing batteries, including a coin battery that’s not already installed in a device, to be in a rigid, crush-proof, sealed package that is labeled that it contains batteries. That means a bubble or soft mailer is not allowed. UPS/FedEx have different but similar special requirements for shipping batteries. Amazon doesn’t have much smaller boxes than this, and there are minimum box sizes for various shippers as well to avoid losing tiny boxes in the equipment at the sort facilities.

I work for a company that ships them and we will be fined if the Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt moreover I will buy this DOT were to see us ship them out in envelopes or any other packaging. Someone explained this on another thread, that’s the smallest box the battery hazardous substance warning sticker fits on. I work for one of the big shipping companies. Batteries are a hot topic. A lot of people dont know you can’t just throw a battery in a box and call it a day. Certain types of commonly used batteries have to have hazardous labels and have the paperwork to match. Some can only be shipped via ground. Guess what happens if you ship an undeclared battery via air and the FAA catches it? $75,000 fine. Makes sense. I do wish they would put a surcharge on it then and say something like “this item uses tons of packaging” and recommend local pickup or something. Like you said, not everyone knows.

Some information about Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt

The shipper knows the Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt moreover I will buy this rules the problem is they dont know whats in the box. Im a pickup courier (i dont deliver I pickup from businesses shipping out) and we’re trained to look for signs of what could be hazardous. Batteries are really difficult to tell. We had an incident on one of our planes recently where an undeclared lithium battery expanded and burst shortly after take off and was near an Aerosol. Luckily sensors went off shortly after take off and the plane could be turned around fast. Had the same for a single battery like that. And it slid up under the box flap so at first box seemed empty lol So Amazon packages a fucking button-style battery this way, but yet they throw my delicate CD’s, DVD’s, Blu-rays & 4K’s in a goddamned BUBBLE MAILER!!! Funny but Actually true I guess from what some other commenters are saying as it could catch on fire if damaged.
Not to be an asshole but why couldn’t you just walk down or take a short drive to literally any convenience store or gas station? Surely they’ll have some there immediately and would take less time. Sure, there’s probably 10 stores within 30 mins of me but both target and Home Depot, the Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt moreover I will buy this spots I shop at most, were 2-4x the cost of Amazon and it wasn’t urgent so I figured the 30 seconds it took to order them for $2 with free shipping was a better use of my time. Had I known it was going to arrive in a big ol box and not a little bubble mailer, I would have waited till I needed more stuff from amazon. Probably will do that next time I need something small. I was also just annoyed that they were so much more at the stores by me.
Man, these comments here are so cruel for no reason. You guys act like you’re growing trees out your fucking asshole. Please be careful with that battery and the Postseason 2024 October Ready San Diego Padres team signatures shirt moreover I will buy this one it is replacing. If swallowed – it can do MAJOR damage. If swallowed by a child or pet – it can be deadly. I keep telling my wife this but she just keeps eating batteries. she said she’s not eating them then we go to the doctor and the doctor says yeah we found a battery in there You can joke about it – but here is a nice little video about what it will do inside your esophagus There is a big chance this post is just farming attention and upvotes and there were more items in this box. Can’t trust random posts on any media these days… Just recycle the materials if it bothers you. Worker that packed your things is underpaid and overworked. Isn’t necessarily able to think about waste prevention during their shift. So why did you order a single battery? You think this is bad, wait until you find out how much fuel was involved in delivering that single battery.. At Amazon they make you pack it in that size box because it’s the smallest box for single items that fits a battery label on the side.
