I doubt it. yes, you’re precisely right. women want pants with pockets…as long as those pants are still tight and the pockets don’t mess with the outline of those pants. which can’t exist, and the majority of women have shown what side of the compromise they wish to lean towards. although it does suck for women that are willing to make the tradeoff because they’re a much smaller market so even if they are willing to have worse looking pants they still get worse choices for those pants There’s a bunch of brands that exist that specifically cite “bigger pockets for women” in their marketing. You don’t see them super widely available because there’s really only a niche market for it. A very large portion of the market is just not willing to give up the form to get the function.

If they could give you full-sized pockets that don’t look lumpy, I would fund that research. you’d need the equivalent of a bag of holding basically for that to happen. large pockets will always mess with the line of tight fitting pants Look, I understand what women go through with pocket size. It sucks. The thing is, if they made the pockets the size of men’s pockets, you’d have a giant, ugly, crumpled up piece of fabric inside your super tight stretchy jeans/pants that would look like dogshit and no women would want to buy them. This is the market dictating what it wants. Men’s pants are generally significantly looser so that they can accommodate a pocket that size, and most men typically value that utility over tight-fitting, fashionable pants. I lived through the emo/skinny jean era and my pockets weren’t much bigger than women’s at the time – this was back when phones were still relatively small and mine would hang out of my front pocket. It’s just a function of the style of the pants. If you want bigger pockets, you need looser pants. If you’re willing to make that trade, start buying looser jeans and the pockets will follow – or worst case scenario, just start buying men’s pants.
