I would think long and hard about a life partner who is willing to insult you at the slightest inconvenience to themself. I hate a fan. Ceiling fan ok but I have long hair and it is just a pain in my ass. I deal with it. My husband is a big guy and hot. He gets really hot and uncomfortable fast, the fan is necessary to him. He is necessary to me, so I deal with the fan. This is my exact situation to a tee! Can not imagine sharing a bed with someone who insults my body image over something so comprisable.

So is it the Port washington high school alumni class of 1972 shirt and by the same token and noise or the air movement that’s bothering her? If it’s the noise get a bladeless fan if it’s the air get her more blankets Does she have sensory issues? If so then I can understand but I personally never have a problem with my bf having a fan. I’m 5’5” 120 lbs and he’s 5’7” in the 300lbs range. He keeps the room as frigid as an ice cube chilling in a glass of coke, I always have to layer under a heap of blankets while he still complains about being too warm. But I don’t mind because I can always cover up more as he cannot just turn his body heat down. Yes sometimes the noise bugs me but I just put in earbuds to drown the noises. It’s odd to be so peeved about something as small as a fan, she may just be stressed about the new move and taking it out on you while using the fan as an excuse, I’d suggest talking to her about why the fan really bothers her. You may be able to make a compromise on the fan (lower the fan speed/temp or buy a quiet fan idk) or you may learn that there is another reason lying behind her grievance. Also the weight comment is just very rude, which is what makes me think that her issue is not just with the fan but with something else. If she was truly upset about the fan I don’t think she would insult you, if you were hurt by that comment express that to her because it’s not okay to shame/blame your partner on the basis of their weight.
