Tires may heat up, but I’d be more worried of either the Pokemon Concierge Official Shirt But I will love this death wobble or the bearings exploding. Would definitely change the bearings after this run. Yup! Bike bearings aren’t made for that. Also, bike wheels are not made to be that perfectly round and balanced. Road bikes get very precise but anything over about 70 mph is probably getting past the manufactured tolerance for balance and round. Isn’t it because the tires are just ‘rolling’ instead of giving power to the bike, thus way less friction induced. That was my thought. The tires aren’t being ran by a motor and have to transfer torque. They are essentially “free spinning” making their job much less enduring on the integrity of their design.

Imagine if it got wrapped around the motorcycle rear wheel or the bicycle front wheel! I’m more worried about the bearings man, surely they had some high temp grease on it, else it would have surely seized up by now. Honestly, I was worried something would happen to the wheel bearings, locking the wheels and sending the driver on his merry way. Remember when you were a kid and you’d stop your bike suddenly to make skid marks on the street? Yeah I imagine this video resulted in two kinds of skid marks 575 more repliesAt that speed without the rope pulling you forward as soon as you release the tether you could easily start getting this speed wobbles and wipe out fantastically since there is no forward pulling force keeping you straight anymore. Don’t think that’s how it works. The faster the wheel is spinning the more resistant it is to turning/wobbling so I’d think it would stay extremely straight lol
