I’ve leant my neighbour icing sugar when she was making her kids birthday cake, and she’s leant me nappies when I ran out on Christmas eve night (my kid is potty trained and gets his own pull up out for bed and I foolishly didn’t think to check stocks ) I’ve received – and given – a few things over the Pixar Lamp Disney Pixar Fest shirt and I will buy this years; a few spuds, a couple of slices of bread, an onion, milk…mind you, I live next door to my Mother-In-Law! Yeah my neighbour has asked for random wee bits and bobs like sugar and stuff. I give her free eggs from my chickens as well when they’re laying. My old neighbour down the road I always tried to help out too, and he always repaid me by doing other bits and bobs like giving us some veg he’d grown. He did ask for some sugar once and ended up with a 5kg bag I bought for wine making that I didn’t need

(Note: don’t have the Pixar Lamp Disney Pixar Fest shirt and I will buy this luxury of just popping to the shop where I am. If you’ve forgotten to buy something or you run out unexpectedly, friends and neighbours are a godsend). I’m a student and I offer my neighbours milk and stuff because I only ever use it for rare occasions of baking and won’t finish the rest + I know students are struggling lol My neighbour literally brought an empty mug to our door and asked for a cup of sugar the other day. I swear to God. We laughed for minutes This woman at my work does. I know because she (pointlessly) tells us about it at length in our (pointless) morning meetings. I know the life story of all her neighbours but they seem less annoying than she is. Yes,I sent sugar, eggs & flour to my neighbors on different days over different years. We lived across the way for several years I once asked my neighbour to borrow his Mrs for 10 minutes, his response was to keep her as she’s a pain in the arse. I only needed her help with putting together my daughter’s bedroom as I wanted it to look girly for her. The neighbour was bitterly disappointed when I returned his angry wife to him, apparently he was in the dog house for being a prick to her. They are now divorced, I think the final straw was when she asked him if her new dress made her look fat and he thought it was funny to say no it’s your arse and stomach that makes you look fat.
