I’m pretty sure OP is more worried about the Pittsburgh Steelers Legend Goal Post Shirt in addition I really love this fact that they hung up and didn’t seem to care when there could have been an emergency, not the fact that they didn’t speak English “Fuoco alle coordinate XYZ” and you’re good. You had a phone, fire up that translator, if you’re in a country, where you don’t speak the native language. ….you were in ITALY…imagine being an Italian person seeing a wildfire start in Missouri and complaining that you could not get an Italian speaking American on the phone. That’s how you sound right now. Next time maybe try using words in italian I’m guessing it goes better for you? It was yesterday, so no I did not stand there and my first thought was to post on Reddit and yes I tried to explain it even with crackling Italien but they wouldn’t listen and told me to stay on the line.after a while they hung up

In Finland, English skills at 112 are a default, in addition to one or both of our national languages. If that is not enough, there’ll be interpreters available to about 20 additional languages. It is not an age problem. A lot of younger kids are not taught to think out of the Pittsburgh Steelers Legend Goal Post Shirt in addition I really love this box or to think at all. BTW it is not just an American problem, I saw the same issue in Italy. You expect someone in a foreign country to speak your language? if you have a smart phone you can get an app to translate, it’s not that hard People FROM Italy said their emergency services are shut, won’t deal with foreigners, and overall just do not care so it’s genuinely not OP’s fault, you’re just an asshole English is pretty common in European countries. You can ask an old man or a child if they speak English and they will probably answer you in english Yes i expect you to know the basic level of language that we as EU members use for communicating on the official level, especially if you work in the state services. Dumb mf Well I think that from one side it is a little bit arrogant to expect them to speak your language. However, for a country that lives out of foreign tourists it would be helpful to do that. I remember that in the 1960s the metropolitan police would pay more if you were able to communicate in a foreign language and they would wear a pin with the flag associated to the language to be recognized by foreigners. I’m not sure if you noticed but you are in Italy where people speak Italian. Horrible situation but pretty entitled to assume people are going to speak English. Couldn’t you have used google translate?
