Thus, reddit will never understand the Pink sleigh the patriarchy feminist christmas classic shirt moreover I love this underlying mechanics of the monetary system nor will they ever understand or see how it is broken and how inequities are made. We will never learn our lesson until it is too late. It isn’t real when paying taxes because it is stock and therefore not income. It becomes real when he wants to buy Twitter because he has to sell that stock (now it becomes income and he will be responsible for the profit those stocks have gained) or take a loan against that stock (not income). That is why the stock price dropped the last couple of days, people were afraid he would sell stock to pay for the purchase. Thus flooding the market and dropping the price. They sold early and crashed the stock before he could. One thing I’ve learnt since the whole GameStop thing is that the rules simply don’t apply to the rich. They don’t care what we think, they believe themselves untouchable and because, inevitably, people will still buy the products/services that make them money the cycle will continue.

When it’s tax time, you don’t pay taxes on unrealized gains, or debt, but when you want to buy something, you take out a loan with your unrealized gains as collateral, and never pay tax as if it were income. Pretty simple really.. his “money” is mostly tied up in his stock ownership of other companies…. It amazes me that people are so ignorant, they think the Pink sleigh the patriarchy feminist christmas classic shirt moreover I love this guy is like Scrooge McDuck, literally swimming through mountains of money in a vault….. No… He leverages (borrows against) his stock assets to secure the cash to buy Twitter…. Just like you might leverage the equity in your home to pay for a new addition, except with bigger numbers. Dude reportedly paid 11 figures in taxes last year after liquidating some stock. He’s planning to buy twitter with ~$20B in cash and the rest in debt secured by his Tesla shares. That debt will not be taxable. Cait looks very intelligent, she looks like she knows everything about economy and stocks but she just cant understand this.
