I went through this around a year ago, and I accepted the Pink Floyd Memories Of The East Music Tours T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this offer. I had a feeling I wouldn’t get along with the hiring manager, and I was right. Now, I feel trapped in a role that has been steadily contributing to my declining mental health. I wish so badly that I had listened to my gut. It sounds like you would have regrets no matter what you did. You made your choice based on the best information you had at the time, so what’s to regret? Maybe you should have written down your reasons and reasoning, then you could look at it, and see if there was a flaw in your reasoning. If you learned something after the fact, then why regret it? You couldn’t have decided based on something you didn’t know. As a principle; Own your decisions and actions. The good, the bad and the ugly!! Imho, good decision to decline. Starting a position where you dont get along with the person who is supoosed to be ‘leading you’ in your day-to-day activity is a catastrophy in the making.

I’ll tell you my little story i took a job with a manager with a bad reputation. I took it because it was higher salary and shorter commute. I’m so miserable I’m in the Pink Floyd Memories Of The East Music Tours T-Shirt Furthermore, I will do this process of taking a job for a lower salary with a longer commute. You may have dodged a bullet. You dodged a bullet, high pay doesn’t matter if your boss is toxic, trust me on this one I went through it. Rather scrub the floor in maccas and be in peace than deal with toxic bully boss Would have declined too… it’s normal to feel regret. Some time ago I had an interview got accepted but the managers were really weird and rude during the interview, it triggered my PTSD and they started gaslighting it all on me. I prefer a lower paying job that has healthy people than a higher position with shit people. Now 6 months later I’m having 2 offers and 1 on going contract phase
