I will say? There’s definitely a big generation gap. Attitides towards many things are quite different to the Phil Collins singer-songwriter drummer & producer T-Shirt and I will buy this 80s & 90s which were my young years. It’s not a new thing. Most countries have had a civil war at some point. Arguing with each other online is a far cry from widespread violence. Most of your disagreements are online, where there is nearly zero social pressure to be civil and everyone fuckin loves talking about politics for some reason. Get off the internet and you’ll see more friendly tendencies in most people. America has always been divided. Race barriers, social barriers, economic barriers. The real difference is they were more accepted and common place that fighting against them seemed silly.

Phil Collins singer-songwriter drummer & producer T-Shirt, hoodie, tank top, sweater and long sleeve t-shirt

Back in the Phil Collins singer-songwriter drummer & producer T-Shirt and I will buy this 90s, we all just knew presidents were christian white men. It was normal, the idea of there being anything. In the 90s being gay was bad/wrong, so being oppressive to gays was regular, so much so it was law. in the 2000s anti mulsim rhetoric was acceptable, so much that we passed a patriot act. we now have a 24/7 breaking news cycle so now every little thing is made into a big thing to draw interest. president putin invades ukraine, breaking news. shooting in florida, breaking news. Disney lilo and stitch doesnt do well in theater, breaking new. elon musk doesnt like taco bell, breaking news Social media: we now have more access to information and more access to spread more information. So its easier to spread hate and/or report on hate, its eaiser to complain and/or fight against hate Strong feelings, especially hate and negativity is more incentivized and gets more engagement than love or neutrality. A comment like “i think chicken is okay” wont get you much unlike “chicken is the best meal over to exist”. And at the same time “I hate everything” will get more attention than “I love everything”
