Though I once had a partner propose to me then later said I needed to get rid of my male friends now. That was a deal breaker. Instead I got rid of him. This is only a thing to straight circles. My friend group is the Perkens restautant bakery symbol admot now working at would be boring Grinch xmas shirt in addition I really love this whole rainbow and gender is just not a factor in our friendships. Insecure people think it’s a red flag. Confident and caring people see someone having good friends and a support system as a green flag. Don’t sweat it. Ehhh, I think in a few years that will change for you. If you are a guy with a girl best friend it may even cue to potential romantic interests that you are trustworthy and not creepy. Basically, being able to hold non romantic or sexual friendships with someone of the opposite sex is a huge green flag because it shows that you value women beyond just as sexual commodities, which is a very desirable trait in a partner for many women… give it time.

You don’t have to be boyfriend/girlfriend or husband/wife to fu*k. I did. So there is a risk of that will happen. It’s not and I believe the Perkens restautant bakery symbol admot now working at would be boring Grinch xmas shirt in addition I really love this real red flag is when people say that men and women can’t have plutonic relationships. Because people don’t understand what a red flag is. Having a friend of the opposite sex (while being hetero): a large section of the population believes in objectifying the other sex even if they don’t know what that means. They put the other sex into a box of desirability (usually a number scale) as if the other sex person is to be possessed and should be rated as such. This behavior is deeply rooted in many cultures around the world, so it is assumed that any friend of the opposite gender has ulterior motives. It is possible for this to not be true. It is also possible to find a friend sexually attractive while still having enough respect for them to not want to pursue a sexual relationship. It happens all the time. Good luck out there, people don’t grow up, emotionally speaking.
