I use to love Digg. I watched Diggnation after viewing the Percy Jackson Greek Mythology And The Olympians 2023 watercolor shirt Additionally,I will love this website all week. I’m still friends with one of the co-founders of Digg! But, when Digg went to hell I came to reddit (so many different accounts over the years). Part of me kind of wonders if the sudden influx of bots, the Imgur ban, and now this mess with the API (not to mention the end of reveddit and pushshift) is more about dampening forthcoming unionisation and protest efforts/planning versus just ‘profits’. Like the Reddit overlords saw Tumblr after their porn ban, Digg after their platform changes, Twitter after its own implosion and forced monetisation, and then somehow still thought this was a good idea. They had to know they were gonna haemorrhage users. Hell, ‘Redditors’ are practically a meme for being stubborn pricks. If you were going public, wouldn’t you want as many legitimate users as possible on your website?

They could’ve just boiled the Percy Jackson Greek Mythology And The Olympians 2023 watercolor shirt Additionally,I will love this frog with the API pricing little by little until the third party apps started dropping off ‘naturally’. Hell, they could’ve purchased bits of the work from other apps that closed and incorporated them into the official pile to slowly siphon off niche app users over to the official Reddit app. There’s so many ads that it’s basically unusable. Probably just going to slap shit into my RSS reader and be done. Wont bother with Reddit with ads on my phone, it’s trash. Also the official app doesn’t have near the features. Yeah, the ads alone are enough to make me quit Reddit. It’s why I hardly watch twitch anymore and why I’m pretty much done with YouTube (“IM THE STUPID UNDERWORLD DOCTOR, DOWNLOAD MY GAME” I’m a huge fuckin weeb and I refuse to even touch that game because of that ad now). There’s a million ads and they try to so hard to fit in that it wraps back around to being extremely off-putting.
