It pains me to have to arrest even MORE parasitic wealthy people but if that’s what we have to do. I’ll cry later. Trump’s defence is the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this accounting firm’s disclaimer that places the blame on him. The accounting firm wrote a note saying “these numbers could contain fraud, we don’t know, we didn’t check for fraud, if you rely on them and they turned out to be fraud then you can’t sue us, the accounting firm, for not telling you about that fraud because, as stated above, we didn’t look for it. Might be fraud, might not be, we don’t know, not our fault, the only person responsible for any fraud is the person who is responsible for the numbers, Trump”. Trump’s defence is that the disclaimer told them that he might be doing fraud. He didn’t understand that the purpose of it is to shift the entire legal blame for it to him. It exonerates the public accounting firm by crucifying him. You’re not allowed to do fraud and just have a disclaimer, fraud is always illegal, the disclaimer exists to make sure he is the one sued. What you’ve written is substantially right, however I think it’s actually downplaying just how fallacious Trump’s defence actually was.

Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt- About us

“The accounting firm wrote a note saying “these numbers could contain fraud, we don’t know, we didn’t check for fraud” might imply for those not aware of every detail of this case that the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this accounting firm had some kind duty to check Trump’s numbers and point out any fraud that they found. Donald Trump engaged Mazars to create SFC “compilations,” comprised of accounting data that defendants sent to Mazars; Mazars simply “compiled” that data into SFC format. “Audits” are the highest level of review of accounting data; “reviews” subject the data to medium-level scrutiny; “compilations” require the least scrutiny of the data. The accountant does not test or audit the raw numbers and thus cannot, and does not, assure the accuracy of the statement.
TLDR: The role of the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this accounting firm in question was not to audit Trump’s numbers – it was literally only to package up those declarations into the standard format so they could be used for X Y or Z. The Trump org had and has 100% of the responsibility for ensuring their declarations are accurate. Attempting to pass the blame to someone for not doing something they hadn’t been paid to do is just a tiny slice of the kind of cheap bullshit that ensured Trump got such a huge judgement against him. Isn’t this the case that AOC largely started by asking a couple questions. It’s crazy to think that someone as careless, inept, and dumb as trump wouldn’t have gotten caught for these crimes if he hadn’t done other crimes Some people might say there is something intrinsically amusing in understanding that out of everyone, it was essentially AOC and Michael Cohen that cost Donald Trump at least $400m AND the ultimate destruction of his businesses that constitute basically his entire ego.

As a fun aside, from a read of the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this judge’s ruling on the fine, he probably would’ve gone lighter on it if Trump and Co had admitted they made a mistake and would work to improve. It’s almost like you have to recuse yourself when your wife does consulting jobs that were for companies created by the Koch brothers to funnel $700,000+ in consulting fees to your wife before the Citizen’s United vote and buying a Winnebago isn’t just a normal privilege of office. Don’t forget recusing yourself when your “best friend” wife’s attempts to overthrow the election results are being considered by the Court This is why I love John Oliver
I never saw it coming, being born in the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this early 80s, the conservatives own the courts. It’s just crazy that the religious nuts own the courts now. They think they get to decide for all of us. It’s just so crazy… Damn theocrats. Why can’t they go somewhere and make their own hellhole away from the people who don’t want to relive the Dark Ages? Why can’t they go somewhere and make their own hellhole away from the people who don’t want to relive the Dark Ages? You have rural areas where Fox is the default on every sports gym. Where the two hour commute to the city is nothing but Republican AM radio talk shows. Where you have a Trump sign on your yard or someone scratches your car. The idea that there are “teams” of judges that coordinate in a club like “The Federalist Society” sickens me. There is also a liberal one and that is wrong as well. But we let the rich get too rich. We let them play the game and fool everyone into having an “executive perspective” on taxes and rules. Every small business owner thinks that they amount of crap they have to go through is some kind of liberal concept — not knowing most of that lobbying for these annoying regulations is by large businesses creating barriers to entry. They somehow think they are in the same boat as the Walton kids. Their understanding of economics is wrong and stupid and that’s on purpose. Most People do not know how the economy actually runs — and I would say that the “fans of capitalism” are perhaps the most ignorant. That is by design. None of the shit we are going through now, dealing with ignorant, bible thumping fools who somehow got a lady boner for Baron Vladimir Harkonnen, is accidental. Their brains are so twisted, the parody of Archie Bunker became a sex symbol.
Born and raised in the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this south. Same devil I’ve known all my life. Only difference is in the 90s the democrats used to be highly religious down here too. Trying to ban video games and rap and the right trying to ban Harry Potter and Pokémon. I’m not equating those to personal and civil rights btw just saying it’s always been a portion of my life hearing about how we’ve strayed from gods light. Republicans wouldn’t need to gerrymander all the minorities into obscurity if they’d drop the racism and embrace the loads of very conservative, very religious minorities that exist in the South and Hispanic/Latino communities. Yea, but non-bigoted conservatism isn’t a huge seller in the US. American conservatism has more or less always required an “other” to oppress to gain purchase with the masses. Cuts to taxes and social spending have worked historically because they’ve been paired with the politics of resentment (see that infamous Lee Atwater quote) but there’s not much appetite for those views on their own. I suspect that if they embraced religious minorities, they would immediately lose many white evangelicals who would likely stop voting. Non-bigoted conservatism is a pretty good oxymoron. Like what’s the point of a system that protects but doesn’t bind the in group and binds but doesn’t protect the out group when there is no out group? A system of corruption without rewards for corruption? A system of proselytization without punishment for failure to convert?
I mean, even more simply: conservatism is about preserving the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this status quo and venerating the past. America’s past is deeply racist — not just in terms of public attitudes, but in terms of legal and financial policy. What is in our past to hold onto? When Trump followers say, “Make America Great Again”, what are they referring to? Specifically, there are too many red states that are largely controlled by white, christian, ultra conservatives. And they will not accept an about face on things like immigration, queer rights, and the idea that “american (white) culture is dying”. And even if they are a minority of voters, they are a majority of republican voters and you cannot be a Republican candidate and ignore them I’m not sure what southern state you’re worried about voting blue except maybe Georgia. Nc every 8 years I suppose.
They are talking about gerrymandering, which has nothing to do with the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this results of the presidential election. Most if not all southern states have districts that vote blue, and would have more if not for gerrymandering. I don’t know if they need to gerrymander them away. Miami has a lot of extremely conservative hispanic people who will eagerly vote for a republican who ran on a campaign to deport anyone vaguely hispanic. Conservatives don’t give shit about anything but “their team” having power, even if they suffer for it. Eh, Trump did lose a fair bit of the Cuban vote in 2016, but then they forgot again in 2020, and DeSantis gerrymandered Florida to shit for the 2022 midterms I feel those are involved with personal and civil rights to some degree. Media shouldn’t be dictated by religious belief unchecked and at large, period. So I mean should religious people have their own media? Sure. But don’t dictate what other people can consume due to your own personal and private religious beliefs for the public. Freedom from religion is a thing.
I think we need to learn our lessons and maybe not be so tolerant of “shitheads propagandizing kids” the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this next time we get control of the country. We need to mandate access to something like NPR and PBS and fund them so our kids don’t get the gaps in their knowledge filled by Prager U grifters or Fox News fascists. On the subject of alito, somethings going on what the fuck is about to happen? He’s either confident as hell about something or trying to distract us from something He’s just signaling his own bigotry, and trying to play victim over it. “Wow people are going to be really upset when I say it’s okay for states to ban same sex marriage again. Poor me, look how angry they are already! I’m the real victim here!”
Oh they don’t think, they do. Because for decades Americans have sat out elections and forgone those decisions. It’s just all so obviously nonsense. I live day to day believing what can be supported by science/evidence. Then a couple times a week or so I read something and get reminded “oh ya, billions of people passionately believe some stories in ancient books”. It’s weird to me that this specific delusion caught on so well and still has appeal to people. By 2024 we should be treating blind faith in gods, fairy tales, even politicians like a mental disorder and yet these people still hold so much power. The brain is a funny organ full of unconscious biases and instinctual urges. Religion still holds fast by appealing to that basic instinct towards simple explanations and tribal affiliations. Those old stories offer explanations that don’t require a lot of thought or education to understand. The social aspect, particularly in sects that send out “missionaries” door to door, gets reinforced by the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this rejection these folks encounter in the real world (get off my porch!) and then welcomed home with open arms into their group. It is good to see someone who has my perspective on this. I actually KNOW how I come to conclusions — but, I also know how little in control I am of what I really do.
I don’t CHOOSE to walk around naked. Because of social standards. Insecurity. Fear. And in fact, I’ll probably go to my grave rather than do a few things that are harmless — because they don’t fit my “identity.” Almost all of us “go with the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this flow” and do what is expected. And that’s more or less a good thing. But we think we chose this. We think that our patterns were a decision, when it’s just been “monkey see, monkey do” for 99% of it. If I were really in control of myself — I’d do the right thing to improve my situation at every moment. And any real introspection would find most of us falling short of that. Fear, greed and social pressure keeps us all on the hamster wheel. Going through the motions. We are a collection of impulses and problem solving that thinks it is conscious.
The way you can tell reason from religion is asking someone what it would take to change their mind. I don’t have any belief in any supernatural entities of any kind. I don’t believe in luck, destiny, or fate. What would it take to change my mind? Evidence to the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this contrary. Compelling, verifiable evidence will convince me to alter my assumptions on any subject. A religious person will quickly admit that nothing will change their mind. Nothing. They will refuse to alter any deeply held beliefs, even when given compelling, irrefutable evidence they can personally examine. That’s a useful tool for any cult. Ask a political extremist what it would take to change their stance and they might toss out a particularly egregious act. Watch them revise it and revise it again as each standard is exceeded by their chosen leader/group. Rarely, this can lead to a moment of self-awareness (but don’t hold your breath). It’s all a bunch of bullshit that a group that “believed” is was a tenent paid to have changed in a translation!
“Human life cannot be wrongfully destroyed without incurring the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this wrath of a holy God, who views the destruction of His image as an affront to Himself,” Parker wrote. “Even before birth, all human beings bear the image of God, and their lives cannot be destroyed without effacing his glory.” Well if that isn’t a clear violation of the separation of church and state I don’t know what is. I guess that means IVF facilities are going to stay the fuck away from Alabama though since no way the Supreme Court overturns that ruling The fact that’s a judicial opinion from literally this week in a state Supreme Court here in America just boggles my mind. Reads like something from the pre-enlightenment era, so like 1650 or some shit. Sadly I realize I shouldn’t be surprised though. These are the same people that worship guns though. Why does “views the destruction of His image as an affront to Himself” not apply to their political opponents?
It’s interesting that all six of the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this conservative justices are Catholic when the religious right is fueled by evangelicals who are generally hostile to Catholics. I think it’s because there’s a Catholic tradition of providing and valuing education, and consequently that’s the largest pool of religious ideologues with the credentials and connections for the Supreme Court. I’d be interested in any other theories or explanations. all six of the conservative justices are Catholic when the religious right is fueled by evangelicals who are generally hostile to Catholics. In a country with less than one quarter of its population being Catholic (23% from a quick Googling), the fact that SCOTUS has a two-thirds Catholic majority (6 of 9) can only be explained by conscious choice. These people (especially the recent trio) were selected specifically for the way their religious beliefs form their judicial ideologies. The Romans took the trappings of Greek polytheism, then elevated their own rulers as gods to be worshipped. Their religion was used to justify harsh aspects of their rule.
Bigot: a person who is obstinately or unreasonably attached to a belief, opinion, or faction, especially one who is prejudiced against or antagonistic toward a person or people on the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this basis of their membership of a particular group Yeah… conservatives are really out here fighting the meaning of words. What does it mean when a society can’t even agree on what words mean? This was what was so amazing about their income reporting problems. Their excuse basically was that they weren’t good at interpreting the rules! Unbelievable. Oh wow, I was just thinking earlier “the generation that said ‘sticks and stones can break my bones, but words will never hurt me,’ seems awfully concerned with words.”
In my experience, the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this people who still say “what, it’s just words, words can’t hurt you, snowflake,” are the first people to throw down and physically fight someone over words only. The aggressively “what the fuck did you just say to me?!” types. It’s sort of like how (again, in my experience) the folks who, in an effort to paint everyone as “too soft” these days, say shit like “my parents beat me and I turned out fine” did not in fact turn out fine. They live in a world where if you’re challenged, you get violent. We’ve been challenged time and again by them and we never get violent. So they feel emboldened to keep messing with us. It’s like a bully. If you don’t fight them when they pick on you, they just keep doing it. The only way we will secure our rights for the long term is to occasionally kick some bigoted ass to remind them we won’t let them fuck with us. Because that’s the language they understand. If they have their way, the next generation will be so uneducated that they won’t know what most words actually mean.
The right is trying to redefine the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this word equal in order to hurt lgbt people, mainly transfolk. They are trying so hard to embody 1984’s newspeak. My pet project: remind people that the 3/5 compromise wasn’t about giving black people 3/5 power, it was about giving that power to the slave masters. Black people still couldn’t vote or anything like that, but they counted the slaves as 3/5 of a person for apportioning power to slave holding states. So it’s far worse than is commonly understood. I found this old program John Bradshaw “The Family” Part 10 (1985) quite relevant to what we’re experiencing today. He talks about the ideological totalism of the language used in dysfunctional groups. He talks about how normalized abuse and neglect in dysfunctional families leads to dysfunctional groups that can devolve into genocide. Milieu Control. The group or its leaders controls information and communication both within the environment and, ultimately, within the individual, resulting in a significant degree of isolation from society at large.
Mystical Manipulation. The group manipulates experiences that appear spontaneous to demonstrate divine authority, spiritual advancement, or some exceptional talent or insight that sets the Penn State Nittany Lions 2025 National Championship Skyline Helmet Logo Football Shirt Additionally,I will love this leader and/or group apart from humanity, and that allows a reinterpretation of historical events, scripture, and other experiences. Coincidences and happenstance oddities are interpreted as omens or prophecies. Demand for Purity. The group constantly exhorts members to view the world as black and white, conform to the group ideology, and strive for perfection. The induction of guilt and/or shame is a powerful control device used here. Confession. The group defines sins that members should confess either to a personal monitor or publicly to the group. There is no confidentiality; the leaders discuss and exploit members’ “sins,” “attitudes,” and “faults”. Sacred Science. The group’s doctrine or ideology is considered to be the ultimate Truth, beyond all questioning or dispute. Truth is not to be found outside the group. The leader, as the spokesperson for God or all humanity, is likewise above criticism.
