However, I’m just kind of embarrassed I didn’t notice it myself! I think I have trouble assessing my own voice. I put a lot of heart and soul in my video, and I flubbed it with the Peanuts Snoopy The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year Merry Christmas Shirt Also,I will get this tone of my voice? Ugh. Is it your most recent video by any chance? I watched about 30 seconds (enjoy the free view haha) and I did get that impression at the beginning, that you were smiling whilst reading your lines. As someone from the UK that doesn’t have an in-depth knowledge of US accents, from what I’ve heard in media I assume that’s your normal voice and tone. I wouldn’t be embarrassed about it. I would suggest that if it bothers you enough to make a post about it asking for advice, I would advise you to watch other peoples videos of the same genre (true crime mysteries?) and listen to how they sound. Perhaps take the recording from your most recent video and rerecord the exact same few sentences but talk in a slower, deeper voice and then compare the two. Does it still make your uncomfortable still or does it sound better? Imagine you’re speaking with someone and you’re talking about a delicate subject, something serious so there’s no room for laughter or smiling. See how that feels and adapt it to try and fit the tone of the video.

You can’t help what you sound like. I say certain things in a specific way due to my accent and overall voice that some people might not be so keen with but at the Peanuts Snoopy The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year Merry Christmas Shirt Also,I will get this end of the day I can only speak the way I speak. I can’t change it much without going to far the other way and sounding even more silly. I do think that your responses to some of those comments are good though, you’re not picking a fight or ignoring their comments. Engaging with the audience like that is a positive and who knows, being known for the happy true crime creator might actually be some kind of selling point to some. If you can’t change it, work with it, not against it. Lol yes, the latest one. I guess the biggest thing is how did I not hear it myself! I think I understand now, and oh yes for the next video, I will definitely work on being more solemn! I can be the same way sometimes especially if it’s my 1000th take and I’m just over it lol. I actually got the criticism on the phone though a few years back. You’ll get over it, especially because it’s something you can actively work on and fix. It’s a part of your voice you control
