So when an American learns several obscure languages… it’s pretty impressive to us because there is simply no immediate need to acquire said skill outside the Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this military. Yea but he speaks local dialects as well. He can pinpoint where some people are from based off that dialect. He also speaks other languages that have smaller pools of speakers. And every time he does this and speaks in these lesser known local dialects to people who have virtually no one else to speak to because they live in the states, they smile. They get so happy to see someone not from their culture speaking their dialect. He pretends to be a clueless white guy. He did a video where he got a fake tattoo of some dish in chinese characters and pretends he thought it meant something else. Then he starts speaking fluent Mando/Canto to catch them off-guard. If you watch the videos of his, they’re fun. He goes in and kinda eavesdrops while browsing like a clueless tourist. Then he identifies their dialect and says something so perfectly it makes them stop in their tracks. It’s a good time and everyone is having fun. It is peak Reddit to turn this into something people should argue about.

it may be some “poorly” cut/edited versions that go arpund online, and people never actually knew the Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this full video. and then they compare it to other videos, like the one where a server (i think it was in japan) insists on talking to the only asian-looking person in the group even though they only speak english, while the caucasian person is already trying to order the food in japanese. and the server straight up ignores them. Watch his videos, it’s not an effort. He speaks it perfectly to the point they can’t understand how he speak so well. He does it in dozens of languages and dialects. He has a gift. This isn’t he knows a little mandarin. He learns languages from all over the globe, some very obscure, and then surprises people with his ability to speak their language in a fun and heartwarming way I’ve seen him, he’s amazing! Him connecting with the Massai is incredible. But the post is the comment saying I’m Asian and order at McDonalds in perfect English, and no one does a thing. Thats the source of my tongue in cheek comment about supporting cultural differences.

Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt: buy and enjoy this shirt

Perfectly? yeah…nah. Still an uncanny ability to learn languages so fast. A fair bit of his sentence structure sounds rehearsed and planned out. I don’t mind though. He inspires a lot of people. Let’s be clear about one billion people speak (a form off) Chinese. Almost none are outside china. There is a reason for that. So yes a) Chinese people don’t expect someone to speak Chinese who isn’t Chinese. B) Chinese if hard to learn compared to English the Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this difference is this guy fluently speaks like 50 fucking languages as if he was raised speaking it his entire life, he is genuinely impressive He doesn’t speak 50 languages at all. He spent a year in Peking learning Chinese (after he studied it at university) so that’s.. it’s something to be proud of but nothing ground breaking at all.

People really do not understand how difficult it is to learn langages to a level of fluency, all these “polyglots” are just memorizing basic phrases in each language and repeating them. I saw someone claiming to be fluent in Swedish(my native language) and the Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this dude sounded like he was just reading off google translate, my wife who studied swedish for a year sounded more fluent than he did and he claimed to be studying swedish for 3 years It’s a freaking social media gimmick and anyone who knows more than 2 languages will know these guys only know 2 languages at best “Basic phrases” do you not understand how hard it is to learn a language? He knows a lot of languages at beginner level, enough to have a conversation in which is really hard to do. Idk why everyone’s mad but to me it just seems weird that like people in every other country is expected to know English whether they grew up in an English speaking country or not and there are nonwhite people who speak more than 2 languages fluently and no one bats an eye but then there’s the white guy who takes time to learn any other language, (particularly an asian one) and suddenly it’s some spectacular sight…

Get this Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt

maybe because learning obscure chinese dialects is harder than learning English (especially when it’s the Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this main language of where you live!) That descriptor would be how those at the restaurant saw him until he started speaking their language. That’s what the title means. He’s not describing himself. when the entire world has to speak your language if it wants to do business, there’s not much incentive to learn another one. That YouTuber is actually fucking obnoxious. Basically his whole channel is full of this same shit. It’s nauseating how full of himself he is. Dude thinks he’s the only white guy who can speak Chinese. You are more likely to see a chinese person speak perfect english in every part of usa than a white person speak perfect mandarin or even broken one in every part of china. Even non americans are expected to be able to speak english or at least basic english in usa. While in china non chinese are expected to not be able to speak chinese or at least basic chinese in china you see, here is the difference. Most asian ppl wouldn’t expect a white guy to soeak their language. So their reaction is “wtf he speaks xyz”. Where as most americans would expect anyone in their country to speak english so their reaction if someone doesn’t would be “wtf how do you not know english” English is also kinda a lingua franca. Highly spread over the world. These other languages are more bound to their people group and so an outsider using them would be out of the ordinary. If only thats how it worked. Its a bigger thing in China for a white guy to speak fluent chinese then a a Chinese guy to speak english
The only problem I have with this man is he has 100% content and reveals himself around 20% into the Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this video making 80% kinda useless. I had a black coworker who used to do a british accent at the drive thru and then use her normal California accent when getting the food. The drive thru employees reacted the same way as these workers did. There are japanese and koreans who i watch on youtube just because they have learnt to speak finnish and are interested in finnish stuff There’s a massive difference though, don’t act like there isn’t. China isn’t full of non-Asians and not many white people speak Chinese, so obviously he would be surprised This guy has made a career out of posting such videos on youtube. This is “value creation” in a capitalist system. I mean he’s very very good at learning languages and all but doesn’t he seem kind of full of himself? Adding that sound effect when they notice his language skills and the whole trying to impress everyone could be toned down a bit. Again, he’s extremely good but yeah, take a few step backs. There’s 200 million who’ve learned Mandarin in addition to their native tongue, but the vast majority of them are in Asia. That’s the whole reason it’s more meaningful one way than the other. White guys who speak perfect Chinese are just a crap ton more rare than Asian guys who speak perfect English.
Yeah and then people would just drag the Peanuts Characters New England Patriots In October We Wear Pink 2024 Shirt Furthermore, I will do this cart all the way to their car. Very quickly every cart in the store would just go thump thump thump because of the flat spots. The Fry’s closest to me had a really big problem with that but in the past year have really stepped up their game. Those flat-spotted wheels get replaced with a quickness now and I truly appreciate that lol. Is that why carts have that thump thump? Never thought about it, but the place I go to replaced all their carts with new carts. Didn’t take long for them to start wobbling and thumping about. Tucker come to the UK, not only do we have the coin tech and the magical moving cart hill we also have tiny carts for children to push around too so that they too can partake in the amazing experience of grocery shopping. AND THE CHILDREN’S CARTS ALSO HAVE COIN TECH! Wait until he discovers nectar points, or having a scanner on the trolley, or shopping online and having groceries delivered to your house…
