To add to what the Paul Blart Meme Mall Cop T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this OP answered, about 25% of agents on Airbnb are new (as in have been working for less than a month). The turnover rate in the department is huge because there are a ton of policies and there are always easier call center jobs. If the agent that’s attending you has no idea what they’re doing, it’s likely to happen. When in doubt, I usually ask them to give me 5 minutes to review procedure and to send any documentation for their issue to speed things up, then follow up immediately – preferably through text because I have a severe anxiety problem which makes me sweat bullets at the very idea of doing outbound calls. Does anyone you work with actually give a crap about what’s right and fair? To what degree are your responses to issues influenced by what’s easy and fast versus correct and/or who whines louder, regardless of who’s actually right? The only thing anyone cares about is policy and how empathic our responses are even in the worst cases possible. I prioritize cases by how urgent they are; for example someone dealing with bed bugs has a higher priority than someone shouting on the phone demanding a full refund after they stayed a night, and your review dispute can fucking wait until I’ve gotten this person out of here, rebooked them into a hotel and educated on the hotel reimbursement policy.

The thing is that policy sometimes sucks and leads to an unfair outcome for both parties involved. When that happens I usually send out the Paul Blart Meme Mall Cop T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this feedback form voicing my personal disagreement with policy as well, and recommending users to fill it out – this actually works and can change the way CS handles some cases. Whining louder gets you nothing other than looking like a moron and me praying that I can end this interaction soon and never have to hear your voice again. Bonus points if you threaten me or you’re rude on call – we can create notes to warn future agents that you’re a cunt. I’ve got an issue that isn’t being addressed by CS. Like, they’re just not replying. Every time I try to contact again to ask, I get a message saying “you’ve already contacted us about this” and they merge the thread and close the case. Yet it’s been a month on the original issue and I’m not getting any response on it at all. Same thing happens when I call. How do I get to someone? My protip is to call your local Airbnb number and mention this, and ask for another ambassador to take over the case because of the delay in response.
