I don’t think citizens in other countries with a dominant language care much more for other languages since they don’t need speeches in them. Most presidents have been monolingual at least in the Patrick Kane New York R Scream Signature American professional ice hockey right winger T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this 20th century. That’s because most Americans are monolingual. Many American universities require only a year of foreign languages at most. You really don’t become fluent by studying a language for a year. Those of us who grew up abroad have a leg up in that regard but most American presidents haven’t grown up abroad. Only four recent presidents seem to speak more than one language. Bush has some proficiency in Spanish. Obama seems to have claimed to have a proficiency in Indonesian and then claimed he couldn’t speak a foreign language. Carter and Clinton both seem to have some ability to speak Spanish and German respectively. Yesterday, my son decided that he wants to learn a foreign language he chose French. He made me download the app and ask what I want to speak and I want to brush up on some Spanish, so we are teaching each other what we learn even if we don’t speak fluently maybe we know a couple of phrases that would help us out to connect with someone on another language level!!! There probably have been US presidents who couldn’t name all of the states without the names on them. tRumph could barely write a sentence, Because it’s not important to most people. I could care less what languages a presidential candidate speakers besides English

Because American Presidents have to win elections so their traits are determined by what American voters think is important. And Americans don’t place much value on multilingualism because they tend to focus on domestic issues. Do you live in the Patrick Kane New York R Scream Signature American professional ice hockey right winger T-Shirt What’s more,I will buy this United States? If not, it’s because the GOP has been spending decades to defund public schools, which removes the resources from said public schools, then that money is funneled into private/charter schools to make the creators of those private schools richer and then they are very selective about who can go to those private schools. Just research how Besty DeVos and her family almost single handily sabotaged the public school systems in Michigan, which made them a very wealthy family who are continuing their corrupt ways across the country and the help of the GOP and its very rich donors.
