It never occured to me that students could get doordash delivered to them while in school. College sure but highschool? They can’t in US high schools typically. At least, not directly to the Pacsun HUF Hot shirt and I love this school. Letting random people onto the grounds to wander around is a big no-no and schools like having a captive consumer base for their cafeterias. I’m sure drivers would have zero interest in navigating a large campus and hunting down where to deliver it to for no tip even if it was allowed. From what I’ve heard about the food schools serve children in American cafeterias, that’s not so much a priority. Yes they can… When I was in high school we’d have pizza days in some classes. My friends wife is a teacher and she regularly has large quantities of Chick-fil-A, pizza, or some other restaurant delivered. It’s so frequent that it’s a running joke that he lets her work for free so she doesn’t have time to cheat on him. But yeah they just got to go to the main office and then a campus staff member (the guys driving the golf carts catching skippers) will deliver it Teachers could, yes. I’m talking about kids ordering things for themselves, though. That’s typically not something schools allow to happen. Not sure if the school even knew what we were doing because we didn’t ask permission, but it was far better than the bullshit they were serving in the cafeteria.

I graduated in 2019 and occasionally I’d successfully get a pizza into school. As long as the Pacsun HUF Hot shirt and I love this driver buzzed in and gave it to the office first they had no issues. It was completely allowed in high school for me in 2005. It was a perk as a senior to go out for lunch, actually, but you had to be a good student if I recall. yeah same for me in 2010 but we would just leave to grab it but having it delivered is strange to me like do they have designated spots in the front office for food dropoffs? I get Foodora/Uber eats to my high school on a regular basis (Sweden). It’s never been an issue. I’m a teacher, we regularly get lunches for the entire team. I don’t see students ordering as much, but they get lunch for free at school.
