The problem here is, the Original rage against the machine burning monk cover shirt also I will do this responses are gonna be heavily heavily skewed by people who can only justify being happy by being financially stable by not having kids. Notice most responses are people saying they’re happy cause they save so much money, have money to travel, can do whatever they want cause they’re not spending money on kids, etc. I’ll provide a counter point. We’re both in the tech field and have been for well over a decade. We built up significant savings before we had our kid. The cost for the kid (including $20k a year for daycare) is a blip in our budget (were in the top 2% of earners). We still travel a lot, ski, hike, etc, and watching the kid learn and enjoy the same things we do brings us immense joy that money can’t buy. We only wish we did this sooner. I’m 42, partner 39. Both females. I think I’m actually actively grateful every day for not having kids. I really, really don’t want any.

I’m 41, my Original rage against the machine burning monk cover shirt also I will do this bf is 37 and we’ve known long before we met each other that neither one of us ever wanted kids. Like, I just have ZERO desire to parent and I absolutely do not and will not ever regret my decision. Neither will he – he actually just got a vasectomy. I honestly don’t even know how to answer your question about regret because I am 1000000% sure I don’t want them. Its like a personal computer. I remember a movie about Steve Jobs when he said people dont need them because they dont know why they need them. But after they use them they will see. Same with children. There will be no regrets if you didnt love your theoretical child because he never existed. Absolutely not. I can go get some damn food and although things are crazy expensive it’s till under 100 with my wife. I can only imagine with what it would be with a kid My husband has a kid, and he’s just starting to get to come visit us. We live far away and he’s young, plus his mom is a cunt. (And yes I don’t like that word, too, but she deserves that and much stronger ones that haven’t been invented it.)
