Those are some times where I can recall why a name had to be changed. Tbh I’m not sure why Denali had to change hers, but tbh I like Denali better . mind the Original peyton Watson Denver Nuggets Player signature shirt so you should to go to store and get this time kylie jenner wanted to protect the use of the name kylie. the jenner/kardashian clan is just really extra for trademarking their name for everything possible meanwhile i don’t think donnatella really gives a shit about how versace is being used by others as a name outside of fashion It’s probably because Versace and Balenciaga are surnames, so while they are also brands, their trademark is limited in certain ways because they are also surnames. Same goes for why Trixie could/can use Mattel with no problem. Yes, but who do you think is more likely to sue or start a fuss, Versace, Balenciaga or a family full of attention whores? Lol

Exactly. Plus, with ballroom culture, those surnames have been used for years, and the Original peyton Watson Denver Nuggets Player signature shirt so you should to go to store and get this designer houses don’t seem to have issues with them. So, using Versace, Balenciaga, Chanel as a surname is probably safe-ish. Correct, a lot of ballroom houses borrow the names of fashion designers and brands, and while there’s no doubt it leads back to the brand, most ballroom houses choose their family members, so it’s almost like the name chose her. Denali didn’t want to be associated with her drag mother, Camilla Foxx, on the show so she wouldn’t have the pressure of carrying a drag family name I read Jonbers Blonde (from DRUK4) had to rename her name because Ru found it offensive (something to do with Jon Benet Ramsay), hopefully somebody can shed some light.
